Question about Philips Televison & Video
Apparently there are two separate connections. One of them went out causing the picture to become all pink. The repairman hooked it to another connection and then on the ''focus'' menu we put it on #4 HDTV and the picture was normal. We left it on that setting and the set was working fine. I recently gave the set to my son and now the picture is pink again. I can get the ''focus'' menu to go on #4 HDTV but then the cable picture goes out. He has a cable box. So the set works fine as long as I leave the setting on antenna A and the cable channels come in but are pink and unless it stays on that antenna, the tv picture doesn't come in on #4 HDTV. It did before.
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
To my understanding all that you need is which jacks of the cable box has to be connected to which jacks of the Philips TV. Limiting conditions are:
If none exists (Y, Pb, Pr at the rear of the cable box), determine if it has a composite (yellow jack) and if a similar one exists in the Philips TV.
Alternately if at all possible, post back with photos of the rear/connectors/ jacks of both the Philips and the cable box or list them in the comment box.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick note and they will put one together for you. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc...
