Logitech Z-10 speakers stopped working, no power

Wondering if it could be a fuse? If so is there a fuse in each speaker and where can I purchase them???

They randomly stopped working and now I can't turn them on!

Is there a quick and preferably free way of fixing them from home?

they were working and then WHAM they just stopped. I tried unplugging them and using a different USB cable, but to no avail... they do not work any longer... and they are expensive... makes me really really angry.

I have the same problem. No power perhaps because the touch sensitive pad is defective. Can the pad be replaced, or can the problem be easily diagnosed?

I experienced the same problem, where the symptom was initially that the volume setting was misbehaving in that you would press the to increase the volume and it would go to the maximum, and likewise press the down button and it would go to the minimum volume.  Then the screen appeared incomplete and finally it did not power on when pressing the power button.  The solution I found was to unplug the power (overnight in my case) to allow any power to drain from the unit and transformers, and then plug it back in.  It powered on afterward.

My symptoms were that the speakers stopped working all of a sudden. Display showed power but gave no access to volume adjustment and did not play sounds.

I read a vague comment by another poster and it worked!
They said to unplug it from the power plug and leave it overnight before replugging it in...... at first I dismissed this, and tried everything else to no resolution. I was ready to return the speakers but decided to unplug it and see... Bingo********! in the morning

As those speakers are quite expensive i would just recommend don't mess around with the fuse or anything just ring up logitech and if you have got warranty then it should be covered if there is a cost and it is reasonable then just get logitech to fix it , it is the safest way, if you mess something up logitech might even refuse to fix it whether you pay or not.

Logitech z5500 speakers no power

certainly sounds like a fuse problem. First check that the fuses you have used work in another appliance. You should not have to use a fuse from the logitech company but it will be rated for your speakers so would probably be best. If the fuse checks out (both plug and amp) then check the wall socket and the power cable.

My logitech speakers are not working

Have you got any more information on what is/isn't happening? No power, power lights on but no sound etc?

Back when I worked for a company that sold Logitech speakers the most common faulty with the X series was a small fuse that would blow. Usually the speakers would appear to receive no power at all if this was the case.

It's a $10 part if your speakers are out of warranty. Sometimes Logitech may even send this part out for free. Check your warranty though, in some countries there is up to 2 years on these speakers.

If it's a different problem, a little more information on the problem may help the FixYa community to give you some better advice.

I tried to extend the length of my front right speaker (power/vol) by purchasing a male to female VGA extension cord. When I connected bothe cables together and then to the sub everything stopped working...

I doubt the extension cord has something to do with that...Usually if the wires are short it would effect the main unit. Check the wires first, not only of the front right speaker but the others also...if they are short. If there's a fuse in the main unit you might find yourself lucky...otherwise you will have to get it checked by a mechanic.

No power in Z-5500 logitech speakers

The logitech z 5500 digital is very sensitive to power peaks. One of the most know problems is that the fuse breaks because of these peaks. I´ll show you how to replace the system´s fuse.

First of all, you just need to write down the specification of the system´s fuse. The system´s fuse specifications are printed in the back side of your subwoofer, right next to the subwoofer´s on/off switch. In an european system it says: "T2AH250V (Time Delayed)". If you use another power voltage (120v), it may say something different. Anyway, write it down on a piece of paper and go to an electricity store and ask for a similar fuse (It is very cheap. Not more than 1$)

-The best way to get a similar fuse would be by bringing the broken fuse with yourself to the store-

In the back of your subwoofer, using an screw-driver, un-screw the fuse´s cover and remove the broken fuse. Replace it with the new fuse, attatch it to the cover and screw it back again.

If you turn on your system now, it will probably work fine.

maybe the first step could be checking the subwoofer's fuse.it is located over the power supply connector.
