Yes the battery can be bad.but it can also be the chances of faulty  connectors  which connects the battery.if they are broken internally or got dusty then also it is possible that battery cannot get charged.so just check out the connectors to which the battery is touching internally.clean that connectors and then try charging again.if still the same problem replace the battery.also check out the charging adapter.

My 2008 328I bmw will not start it will not take a charge to the battery

If you have removed the battery and it will not take a charge, probably need to replace it. If you mean you have charged it and car still will not charge and quickly depletes the battery, could be you have a stuck starter relay, bad solenoid or bad starter.

Dewalt lithium battery won't charge

Your problem states you have a Makita tool and your question is about a Dewalt lithium battery. In either case if the battery won't take a charge or if the charger is showing the battery is defective the only fix is to replace the battery. Some causes for defective batteries or batteries that won't take a charge are bad cells in the battery, bad or shorted IC board in hte battery, broken or burnt connections between the many cells or between the cells and IC board or even bad or old cells that will no longer charge up. The time and effort needed to find out what the problem is then finding another battery to scavenge parts from (individual battery parts are not available) is never worth the cost of just buying another battery and going back to work with the tool(s).

Asus UL50VT always shows charging

Either your battery or the power cord has an issue. Does the battery ever fully charge and make the charging light disappear or turn green? If not the battery could be bad.

Try running the computer off the battery by removing the power cord. if the battery starts losing charging strength real quick then your battery is bad. I've see bad batteries that say they are 100% charged but as soon as you remove the power cord it gets down to 5% i a matter of minutes.

Try running the computer on just the power cord. If it stays on and lets you operate without any problem then the power cord is good. A good power cord will not charge a bad battery.

If the laptop does not let you stay on long with the power cord, then either the power cord is bad or the DC Power Jack where the power cord plugs into the laptop is bad. If either of them is bad they will not charge a good battery.

Check your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugs into the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside the jack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have to take the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto the motherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.

4210 Starts for a second and then stops

This will be one of, or both of, the following.
Bad battery will not take a charge and cause this condition.
NOW... Why will it not take a charge. either the battery is bad, and CAN'T take the charge the machine is giving. OR the charging circuit is fired on the main board. Sometimes a bad charging circuit will also cook your battery causing both to be screwed.
But it is a common problem with the board going bad. Some people purchase an external charger for the battery and then swap it into the roomba when charged. But this kinda defeats the automated controls. The fried charging circuit also will drain the battery when it isn't turned on. I have repaired a number of charging circuits on these units

Not charging

The faults might fall into the following,
1.The charger may be bad
2. The battery may be bad
3. The charging ic may be bad

Solutions
1. First of all, check your battery if it is still good, you can do this by inserting it into another phone, if it does not charge, then the battery is bad and you have to get a new one. But if it charge in the other phone, then it's either the phone charger or the charging i.c that is bad.
2. Try testing you phone with another charger, if it charges the you initial charger is bad and if the new charger does not charge the phone, the charge port or charging ic is bad. It means you have to change the charging i.c
3. Alternatively, i will advice you to get a universal or desktop charger to charge your battery should incase the charging i.c is bad.

Battery won't charge

Chances are bad battery or bad battery circuit. Does the charging light come on? If answer is no, then your power jack or power adapter is bad. If the answer is yes, Its either bad charging circuit or bad battery. Unless you can buy another battery to test it, you will need to take it in to your computer repair shop.

Bad battery or bad phone?

Looks like your phone is in 'Bootloader' mode, that's why it shows your bootloader info. Take your battery off for about 5-10 mins, and restart your phone.
