Question about Generic Memory Computers & Internet
The Vista C drive on my Advent 5431 laptop shows that I have 106 GB of storage left. A week ago I had 111GB left and since then I have personally downloaded precisely nothing. I'm running Vista Home Premium, AVG Anti-Virus Free and BHODemon 2.0 if that is of any relevance. Beyond this I am doing nothing other than checking the internet and yet I seem to be losing a gigabyte a day. I have looked on Google but can find nothing about it, and am starting to worry. I only bought the computer at the end of December 2008 and didn't expect this sort of thing to happen. I update my antivirus software every time I am online and perform regular error checks and defrags, but this isn't helping. In fact I removed the few pieces of work I had stored on the laptop onto a pen drive, scanned, defragged, yet this has lost me a further 3GB! Please help me.
You don't need to worry you still have lots of room
have u done windows updates
clear your history and just to let you know if you have a cd in the drive remove it
check in your add\remove if you have any programs you no longer use then uninstall them
also if you have programs running like ( messenger ) as soon as you start pc remove then from startup
don't be afraid to save programs on your system
