The motor is not made to be disassembled so the only fix is to replace the motor. I have removed the eletrical switch on top of the motor and extended the activating arm with epoxy so that it would reach the centrifugal switch. This allows the motor to start properly.

How much should the clutch adjustor screw move within the basket when you remove the clutch cable

Hi Sherry, The clutch adjuster screw is held in place by a bearing and the bearing is held in place by a c-clip or snap ring can't remember anyways there should be zero movement only rotation. These are parts that in my 35 years of wrenching I have never seen fail, but there is always a first time for everything. That being said its more likely that 1 or 2 of the 3 ball bearings that are located between the inner and outer ramp of the clutch release mechanism has fallen out. It can happen easily if you are not carefull when you have the primary cover off. Normally the mechanism is held in place on the inside of the primary cover with a c-clip or snap ring. Once it's removed thats when you can loose a ball or two. I would drain the primary, inspect the drain plug magnet for large metal chunks, pull the primary cover and look for missing ramp balls and or c-clips and snap rings. grab the clutch pack and see if has abnormal movement either in and out or up and down. Clutch hub nut could have loosened but highly unlikely. Good luck

I just had that problem. The repairman pulled the front off the machine and found a small nail that had fallen through the holes in the washer tub. I didn't watch him do this, so I don't know where inside the machine it was, but he found it right away. Hope this helps.

How to replace bearings

Must disassemble the pump from the motor. The impeller has RH threads so hold motor armature (do not damage it) and turn impeller CCW to remove it from end of shaft. Hold armature in left hand and rotate impeller with right hand, turning hand on impeller back toward your body, or top of impeller toward you. Don't know how else to describe it. Once you have the impeller off everything should come apart pretty easily.
If impeller is really stuck, you will need to figure out how to hold it evenly all the way around without putting pressure on blades. Strap wrench, home made jig, something that can put more pressure on it than your hand.
You may want to remove the motor field so that you can grasp the armature while removing the impeller, do this by removing the long screws from the end of the motor.

Gently pry, tap, slide, however you can, get the bearings off the armature shaft without damaging any parts attached to it like fans, or starter centrifugal weights. Those things can be removed if needed.

Put new bearings on by sliding over shaft and seating in place by driving against the center race only. Do not drive bearing on by striking the outer race to move the inner race, this will damage the bearing.

Rinse Light flashes on Miele W829 novotronic

Remove all the load and try to move the drum manually clockwise and anti clockwise. If you notice any friction check the motor separately and the agitator assembly separately.
It could be due to alignment shift causing a wobbly motion or a failure of the bearings.

The rubber ring inside the washing machine came out and a metal ring was under it, i dont know how to fix it?

that rubber is called the bellow. snap the bellow back to the machine. place plastic ring over it into the grove and work it all the way around. that metal ring should have a spring on it. use a needle nose pliers and pull the spring so it stretches, metal ring should snap right in place.

You'll want to put it in a vice and heat it up untill the plastic oozes out. Then use a drift to knock out the u-joint one way then pull out the bearing cap and then same thing back the other way.Clean the holes with some emory cloth before installing the new one.

The motor does not run. But all other functions like washing etc takes place.

it would imply a simple belt problem maybe it has snapped or it has lost its tention and fallen off, remove power plug, remove the top cover, normaly a couple of screwws in the back, look down the back , some motors are at the bottom some at the top but the fly wheel is always on the back normaly silvery in colour see it turns by hand (nothing in machine) if it does it would be a belt, hope this helps
