Double click on the .exe file and install it.
go to strat>>control panel>> system>>device manager.
deleted the VGA and restart the computer.
let the cmputer find the .ini file.

After installing windows xp pack 2 my display resolution is problems only 4 bits color available what can i do?

This problem has occurred because only the generic video driver (VGA) was installed.
You may find other device drivers was not installed.
Go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device Manager and if you see any yellow ? against any devices then these device drivers were not installed.
If you computer came with a CD that contains the device drivers then use this disc to install the missing device drivers.
If you do not have this CD then you can download the device drivers from the computer manufacturer's WEB site.
If you still have problems then use these WEB sites to automatically detect and download the device drivers for your model computer.

After using the restore disk I am only getting vga from windows XP. I have tried installing the video driver from emachines site but it says that a file is corrupt or missing. This is a T5212. OS is XP...

that is so easy to solve! reformat your pc using XP WARRIOR XP2.... that OS is supported many drivers of motherboard and video drivers. after installing XP warrior, you don't need to install the driver of your M-board and any onboard card on your pc... try to contact me if you wanna try XP warrior.
