Question about Acer Aspire One Netbook 8.9" Notebook
My acer aspire one notebook doesnt show any internet connection icon , when i go to settings and try to open the 'network center" file it doesnt open either. Im desperate because i need my laptop to function.
please if anyone knows what can I do let me know i appreciate it.
This will happen if you let the battery go completely dead. Some files become corrupted.
Solution:- Right click on Settings (preferences some models). Select 'Network' then double click on 'gFTP'. Scroll down to '.gconf' and double click. select and double click on 'system'. Right click on 'Networking'. Scroll down to 'Delete'. Left click on 'Delete'. Confirm 'YES'. Turn off the computer, then restart. What you have done now forces the computer to re-create the networking file. Your networking icon should re-appear on the taskbar. Note this is only for LINUX systems. - Good Luck!

THIS MAY BE MANY THINGS
LOOK IN THE FOLLOWING FOLDERS IN THE CONTROL PANAL:
DEVICE MANAGE, INTERNET OPTIONS, NETWORKING, PHONE AND MODEM, PROBLEMS AND REPORT, SERURITY FOLDER MAY USING THE FIREWALL TO BLOCK THE SIGNAL, SYNC CENTER, WINDOWS FIREWALL.
SOME OF THESE FOLDS WE WANT ANYTHING THAT SHOWS GREEN MARK ONLY, RED ,ORENGE, YELLOW ARE NOT WANTED, IF YOU SEE OTHER THAN GREEN THAN DOUBLE CLICK ON IT AND RESEARCH THE ERRORS.
FIRST THING IS TO TURN OFF ALL ANTI VIRUS AND WIRE WALL APLACATION SO THERE IS NO INTERFERANCE WITH COMMUNICATION DEVICES WITH THE MODEM, SOFTWARE, PHONE CARD, MODEM CARD, WIRELESS DEVICE, WIFI CONNECTION, SEE IF YOUR IN AN AREA THAT HAS WIFI SERVICES SO YOU DONT HAVE TO PURCHASE ACCESS, NOTHING WRONG WITH USING WHATS AVAILIBLE TO YOU, HOTEL DISTRICK OR BINESS FIRMS AROUND YOU, INVESTMENT FIRMS, AND SO.
GO INTO SERVICE AND TURN OFF ALL SERCURITY FIREWAFE, WINDOWS DEFENDERS, WINDOWS FIREWALL, WINDOWS SECURITY, ANY TYPE ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM, ANYTYPE OF FIX IT PROGRAMS FOR RIGHT NOW,
ONCE YOU GET THE INTERNET UP AND RUNNING THAN GO BACK AND TURN EVERY THING BACK ON IN THE SERVICE FOLDER UNTIL YOU FIND THE FOLD THAT IS GIVING YOU PROBLEM AND DESIDE TO LEAVE IT TURN OFF OR TRY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES WITH THAT PROGRAM
