Question about Crosley CDG6000 Gas Dryer

Crosley Gas Dryer-small plastic object fell into blower (?)

Help, I have read the other psot about chapstick being dropped there by another poster, and I tried a vacuum, a wire hanger with tape at end, etc and all it did was jar the object loose, but dryer is still making a horrible noise and can't be used. My users manual does not show how to get inside the dryer via a panel and I have looked all over the different sides of the dryer for a way to get in and get the piece (it is a cap to a bleach pen that fell down under the lint screen). Can someone tell me how to access a panel or what else I can do to get this item out? I am running out of clean clothes...help.

You might have to take the back off then off to the left take the screws out of the blower houseing and carefully pull it apart and then you should be able to take what ever is in there out
hope this helps

Small toy accidently fell down dryer vent. What to do? Afraid to turn dryer on. Help

To get to where the toy fell on this unit is a little involved. Unplug unit. take out the lint filter and gently turn the machine upside down hoping the object will fall out if not you will need to take the back off the unit and loosen or remove the blower chute to get at the blower wheel and your missplaced object
Good luck...

Kenmore 80 series dryer, no heat. blower works

Check to see if the glow bar is coming on first. If it isn't, it is probably the thermal fuse/ cutoff. It is a small white plastic piece on near the motor housing.

If it is coming on but not lighting the flame, then you probably need gas coils. They are the two cylinder shape black and white objects attached to the gas valve.

A chalk piece fell into the lint trap keeper of our Kenmore dryer. We our concerned whether we can use the dryer or not, because we haven't been able to take it out. Thanks Amy

Try to vacum it out from the top ...

If not - pull the drier out and try to get it from the exhaust port. If your hose is plastic, please replace it with an aluminum one.

I just posted similar instructions for another poster if you would care to review them

I hope this works for you.

Dryer doesnt work

I am an authorized crosley repair man. The fuse mounts on the rear wall on the right hand side of the heater element. When it blows the problem is usually a ball of lint in the filter housing or a bad blower wheel.ba7d2fe.jpgThe kit comes with 2 fuses. One for gas and one for electric dryres. Use the fuse with the same color dot as your old one. DEAD DRYER

The electric heater fuse takes a 300 degree limit. Pink dot6885cfc.jpgThe kit comes with a 250 degree for gas and a 300 for electric. many people have told me either one would work and many folks have said when the 300 degree poped they have used the 250 till it too dies.Keep the dryer clear of lint and regularly checked for lint balls and striped blowers to keep this problem at bay.

Dropped a chapstick down into the filter

Shouldn't hurt anything... but if it gets dislodged and makes its way into the blower.. will make a racket.. If you can see it.. you should be able to extract it with a vacuum cleaner hose of coat hanger with the end wrapped in tape ( tape put on sticky side out)... Otherwise.. I wouldn't worry about it...
Hope that helps.. and you may want to purchase another chapstick for your needs...

small plug left side bottom remove it this will allow you to see if ignitor is coming on if it is suspect the coils on gas valve or no gas to dryer if no glow possible bad thermal fuse remove back small white object on blower housing ..if no lower panel ..remove 2 screws under filter pop top 2 clips 1 each side about 2-3 inches from end..2 screws 5/16 1 each side upper corners remove lift front off
