There are 2 possible things that could be at fault here. One being the image is'nt fusing to the paper due to faulty operation of the fuser. If any of the toner/image on the paper is easily wiped off the paper then this is more than likely the issue. The second possible issue is that you have a bad drum unit, there is an internal cleaning blade that is used to scrape the excess toner from the last image off before creating another copy. On this particular machine the drum only comes as a unit and would need to be replaced. More than likely you need a new drum unit. P/N-
you need to clear the rollers and the heat drum (fixes the image and melts the toner onto the paper) if you have done any two sided copy, or have used paper with an image on one side, the ink may have gotten onto the roller and left a trace which would account for the banding being in the same place all the time. the rollers and etc are difficult to get at, and not really a job for amateurs
Do you have selected right paper format on printer properties on PC? If you have A4 in machine and under print prop eg LTR the machine will report problem. You can then manually select on copier eg tray 1 and copier will print the doc on format from tray 1.
Take a tissue and clean the area where the toner is. Do not use anything wet at all. Just a soft tissue. Re-install toner and try again to print. If the problem continues, it may be a leaking toner catridge. The cartridge has a cleaning blade built in and it may be deffective. Try a new toner cartridge if so.
