Question about IBM Computers & Internet
Using lotus notes v7. I got about 7 archives with various months names and wanted to add the next. Now I created the new archive fine, and the default one got copied into the new file and became empty again so, sofar so good. However when I try to open the saved archive to add it to my workspace in Lotus, it opens it on the place of the default. Interestingly if I right click on it and see filename, then the filename is still the default's filename, however if I click on it now the new archive opens. So basically it opens a different file than what is in the settings, and my new archive does not show up as an icon on the workspace. I tried to remove it, put it back no luck just the same. Can also not add any other archives, if I try to open another, still the default is the one that stays there and again the newly opened one is what it will "control" but the filename in the settings is still the default:S Total mess. Anybody met this problem yet?
This problem tends to happen if something is wrong with your desktop.ndk (might be desktop7.ndk) document, you can find that in the notes folder or in the data subfolder, but you can search for it. Shut down lotus, rename the file, start lotus again. It will create a new desktop file. The backside is that you will loose all your bookmarks, but on the new desktop you can add the archives.
Let me know if it worked and rate my solutions pls
