White clothes (can't really tell on darks) come out with brown stains (spots and streaks) on them. These stains don't come out. I ran a cycle empty using white vinegar to clean it. It went away for a few days but came back.
-   We just got our machines and they are also leaving yellowish stains on the white clothes. I am not sure if this is from the washer or they are getting burned by the dryer. Any thoughts or fixes to this?-   Guest

-   I have the same problem. At first it was just small dots on the clothes and now the patterns are approx. 5 cm long. The marks almost look like rust stains, but they just can't be removed. Help!-   Maglu88
This sounds like the infamous "Frigidaire Flaw" (they make some of GE's washers). The likely culprit is that the bearings on the drum's spindle are leaking.
To diagnose, call a repair man, or pull it out and remove the back cover. If you see brown streaks from the center spindle - that's it.
Repair is cheap if you can do the work yourself (inner and outer bearings), but $300+ for a technician

I have a w10117769a and the I have clothes in the washer that completed it's cycle of cleaning and the door will not open. The manual said to press the stop button to open which I tried and the add garment light came on. I tried starting and stopping the machine with no luck. The machine is stuck and will not unlock the door
