Memory cards unfortunately do fail after some time, all flash memory has a limit to how many times it can be written and rewritten. If it is an official Sony memory card these usually last a lot longer, but even they will fail eventually. If it is a third party, non-Sony brand memory card, they usually die much much faster. So sorry to hear about that, luckily a new one at gamestop or elsewhere should be around $5 or less most places.

Hi, my advice would be to make sure you are putting videos that are compatible with psp. In some cases if you try putting a video in a format not compatible with the system the data will appear as corrupted. So, how do you get all videos to the psp. If you switch off the power while on autosave, your data will corrupt and no longer exist and still show up. When you format it, the system will not detect the corrupted data. You need to visit a electronics repair cenre to fix it without having to manually format it so it deletes all. Manual formatting is a risk to your PSP's warranty. Good luck anyway.
