It is likely some sidebar gadget you've got installed that wants to use bluetooth.

Take a look at the installed gadgets, and see if that makes sense. To administer gadgets (I am assuming the sidebar is not opening properly), but do try to start it, then:

Start
Control Panel
Windows Sidebar Properties
View list of running Gadgets
Remove any gadgets that may cause the trouble.

Sidebar gone, how do i get it back

Not sure if your problem is in Microsoft or in Apple so here are the steps for both systems:
Microsoft To fix this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click All Programs.
  2. Click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.Regsvr32 atl.dll
    Regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\sbdrop.dll
    Regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\wlsrvc.dll
    exit
  4. Restart the computer.

Apple Couple of different approaches could potentially work:

Usually you will just click on the jellybean to get it back. Watch the Youtube video to see how easy this is. If this does not work, try one of the steps below.

1. Close all finder windows so when you click the finder icon it opens a new finder window, one with no sidebar. Then go View>Show Toolbar
Then once the toolbar is enabled, the view/hide sidebar toggle becomes activated in that same menu.

2. Close all finder windows so when you click the finder icon it opens a new finder window, one with no sidebar. Then go View>Show Toolbar
Then once the toolbar is enabled, the view/hide sidebar toggle becomes activated in that same menu.

3. Does it show only "FAVORITES" on the sidebar? Move your mouse a little to the right of it, until it says "Show" and press it.

4. If the sidebar is open and items are just missing, then moving the mouse just slightly to the right of the text will reveal a "Show" link.
However, if the sidebar is missing completely from the finder window, simply key option/command/s at the same time to reveal the sidebar. You can also simply hover over View > Show/Hide Sidebar.

5. Click on FINDER, then Preferences. Click on General tab near the top. Half way down "New Finder windows show" (Drop down menu) Click on it.
Choose your scenario. Should work after that.

6. It is possible somehow the Sidebar became hidden by pulling the center bar that separates the Sidebar from the right side viewing pane to the LEFT.
Make sure your Finder/View has Show Sidebar; then try placing your mouse to the far left and see if you get an "i" bar so you can drag it to the right which will make the Sidebar viewable again.

Bluetooth perephal device problem on dell inspirion

If you want to connect a Bluetooth peripheral device to a computer, you may need to download a new driver to support it.

There are two approaches to this:

If your Bluetooth device came with a driver on a disc, you can install the driver directly from the disc.

Otherwise, simply connect your computer to the Internet and connect your Bluetooth device to your computer, then wait for Windows to install any required drivers automatically.

You may receive this message when you connect your Bluetooth device to your computer: "Windows needs to install driver software for your Bluetooth peripheral device."

Bluetooth peripheral device driver downloads are easy to locate via any search engine.

Open the CD-ROM drive on the computer and insert the driver disc that shipped with the Bluetooth device.

Wait for a moment to see if the software auto-launches, as most modern software discs do.

If the program does not launch automatically, double-click the "My Computer" icon and then double-click the "CD-ROM drive" icon.

If this does not launch the software but instead opens a file folder, look for a .exe file such as "setup.exe" or "run.exe" and double-click that.

You're looking for a Bluetooth peripheral device driver.

Follow the on-screen prompts, once the software launches, to install the Bluetooth peripheral device drivers on the disc. You may be prompted to restart your computer at the end of the process.

Letting Windows Install the Driver

Make sure Windows is up to date, as most Bluetooth drivers are included in Windows Service Pack updates.

To do this, make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, then click the "Start" button in Windows and select "Windows Update" from the program list.

This will launch an Internet Explorer window. Click the "Find Updates" button in the window and wait for Microsoft to search for available updates.

If it recommends any high priority updates, follow the on-screen prompts to install them.

Connect the Bluetooth device to the computer.

There are three ways to do this.

If you have an internal Bluetooth receiver in your computer, just make sure the receiver and your Bluetooth device are turned on and put your device within range of the computer.

If you have a USB Bluetooth receiver, plug it into an available USB port on the computer; then turn on the Bluetooth device and put it within range of the computer.

If you have another type of auxiliary cable, you may also be able to use it to connect your Bluetooth device to the computer without using a Bluetooth connection.

Watch the system tray in the bottom right corner of Windows.

You should see a notification that Windows has detected a Bluetooth device, followed by another notification that the device has been installed properly.

The installation it is referring to is that of the driver. If this does not work as expected, proceed to the next step.

Click the "Start" button in Windows, then click "Control Panel." Launch "Device Manager."

Expand the "Bluetooth Devices" entry in the Device Manager by clicking the plus sign next to it.

Find your Bluetooth device listed under this heading, right-click it and select "Update driver" from the list of options.

Wait as Windows automatically finds and configures any missing Bluetooth peripheral device driver downloads.

Hope this helps

Keep getting message that says "Logitech Commmunications Manager-Please wait while windows configures Logitech Communications Manager. Followed by another message that says "The feature you are trying...

Hi,
There might be some stuck services related to Logitech that are still running in background as uninstalling programs using Windows Add/Remove Program leaves few files behind. In your case click on Start Menu and open Run. Now type "msconfig" without quotes. This will open System Configuration Utility. Open tab Startup and check for any program related to Logitech and disable it. Next open Services tab and check the box saying "Hide All Microsoft Services" and start looking for Logitech services and go on disabling them then restart computer when prompted while closing System Configuration Utility's window. In most cases it disables the program from getting launched at start-up.
If you are still getting the Logitech program installer, try to check "Scheduled Task" of windows and delete it (Start Menu> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Scheduled Task).
Hope the resolution works for you. If you are still getting the pop-up of Logitech installer, post follow-ups so that I can assist you further.
Cheers!

Windows wants to configurate certain programs every time l open them

If you see the pop up "Please wait while windows configures..." when you open an application, it means that an important module of the program is damaged or missing. First determine the application that this is happening with, and then completely uninstall/reinstall the program. If it continues to happen, you will need to have a professional look at the installation.
