How can I add a music file to the web page I made using Publisher

I used a web building program to create my previous website and was able to add hyperlinks to mp3s which played when clicked on. My new website has been created using Microsoft Office Publisher 2007. The hyperlink thing didn't work so I downloaded Easy mp3 Player and added each song to my web this way. The player appears but when I click on play nothing happens. I uploaded the mp3 files into the index files folder.

Hello electricrose,

I would like to recommend www.goear.com, they are the music youtube and you can upload your music to their website, then get the code and put their player direcly on your website...

Advantages:

1 - You won't waste your hosting bandwith
2 - It will be easier for you, since you don't have to work with any html code
2 - Other people will be able to hear your music from goear.com, that's a marketing strategy ;-)

What is MS Publisher 2007? How to create FLYERS using MS Publisher? How to create BROCHURES using MS Publisher? How to create NEWSLETTER using MS Publisher?

Publisher is a program that makes it easier to make "posters" and "brochures" and "newsletters".

Start the program. Click "New". Click "start a new FLYER", or "start a new BROCHURE", or "start a new NEWSLETTER", to use some of the pre-defined templates that define the layout of your publication (fan-fold, multi-column, et cetera).

Hi, I've just installed Microsoft Office Publisher 2010 on my PC (Vista Basic). It works fine and everything. However the saved publisher files have icons like blank pages and won't open automatically...

Hello:
You can manually locate Microsoft Publisher when going to the "open with" dialog. Follow the steps below:
  1. Right click on a Publisher file.
  2. Choose "Open With..."
  3. Choose "Choose Default Program..."
  4. A dialog box will open. There is a list of programs at the top.
  5. Near the bottom of the dialog box, there should be a link that says "Browse..." Click it.
  6. You need to locate the Microsoft Publisher Program. For Office 2010, it should be at:
x86: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
x64: C:\Program FIles (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
7. Click once on the file and choose "Open" 8. Check the box called "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" 9. Confirm your selections and click "OK" at the bottom of the dialog box.

Getting error message not a valid W32 application on clicking old publisher 03 file but can open it when in Publisher 2007 on vista comp - also happening to newly created publisher files

This is a known issue with some of the programs in Office 2008. I don't know if they provided the fix yet, but you should use Microsoft's update page and download service pack two. If you already have that update, recheck frequently.
I included a link so that you can find out more about it and select the updates you want. The safest way to go about it is by using your Publisher or Word Program to initiate the download. I included a pic to help you find the section. In Word, go to File>Word Options>Resources and choose the Update button. Thanks for your question, please leave comments if you need any more assistance.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953195b485537.jpg

How to make a web page?

I have a few different solutions for you based on the amount of knowledge you have about web design. Starting with the easiest.

www.spruz.com is a newly founded social / business networking site that allows you to manage websites with no previous experience. You can easily manipulate the webpage by dragging and dropping boxes and also selecting from convenient menus what kind of content you would like. ; Better yet you get to try it free!

Secondly Microsoft Frontpage is a great program for web design with robust features. This will require you to sign up for a webhosting service through someone like www.godaddy.com and upload your page after you finish designing it. Also there are many great tutorials to learn about this program and see how to design your own website visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=299DFA4E-8BEC-4A9D-9F8A-277F43EE8EF6&displaylang=EN

Hope this Helps!

Open files from different version of MS Publisher

I have a similar problem: Files were created in Publisher 2003. Then I had to reformat the hard drive and re-install Publisher 2003. Now I can't open any of my previous files even though created by the same program because "Publisher can not open files from a different version." Very frustrating. I hope someone has a solution. Powerpoint add-in

I don't know of one, but you can build hyperlinks, by using the hyperlink button on PowerPoint's toolbar (looks like chain links). Be sure to give the full location of the file by right-clicking on the file you want the hyperlink to point to and selecting 'Properties' and then copy and paste the 'Target' dialogue (all of it, which is fully selected by default when you open the properties of the file) by using 'Ctrl C' and then in the PowerPoint hyperlink dialogue box use 'Ctrl V' If you run into more problems or need further instructions, please let us know.
