While on the RED light. Press and hold the "SYNC" button (don't let go if it during any of the stages). Now press and release the "EJECT button. Note the amount of flashing lights. Do this three more times (still holding the sync button) each time noting the amount of lights that flash. This will give you a total of 4 numbers. Hi christoph52893,

If the Xbox 360 power supply light is green, this means the Xbox 360 power supply is ok and it is an issue with the console itself. You will need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to service your console. However, if you have a flashing orange or yellow light, it means that your console is fine but instead there is something wrong with your power supply. It indicates that it's not getting enough power.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

The flashing lights on the outside of the green power button are the status lights for any connected controllers.
Just turn on one of your wireless controllers and the green status lights should come on.
If you turn on a controller and it doesn't automatically connect, press the connect button the top of the controller and front of the Xbox at the same time. This should connect the controller.

Two red flashing lights on top and two green on bottom

Two red lights generally indicate hardware failure. Two green lights indicate two controllers are connected. Both green and red lights will not be lit at the same time. The green light in the middle indicates that the console is turned on. For more help deciphering red light flashing errors, see this guide HERE.

Xbox 360 power button light keeps flashing and disc tray does not open

Hi when the power button flashes red if you hold down the little round white button under the dvd tray and keep holding it down then press the open button for dvd then it will flash a number of lights write this down.
it will be flashing 1 2 3 or 4 lights so write it down then hold down the white button again and press the draw open button again and write down how many again.
do this 4 times all together and tell me what code it has given you then i can tell you exactly what the problem is

so for instance
you hold down the little white wireless button and keep holding it down then press the open button for the dvd tray and say 4 lights are flashin
so write down 4
then hold white button down again and press open button again
it may flash 4 again
then do it again and it may flash 2 lights
then again and it may flash 2 again

when you have gotten these 4 codes post me a message and tell me exactly what they tell you and in the correct order so it may look like this
4 lights flashing
2 lights flashing
1 light flashing
2 lights flashing

if you look at where the button is where you turn it on well you have the green light in the middle well around this is four outer lights that light up red their are 4 of these 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom either side of the green light, their the ones that flash green when its spinning rounf with green lights so write this code down then ill be able to tell you exactly what the fault is ok

let me know then i can assist you further ok

Power box light is blinking orange and sometime a steady red and console want come on.

Green Indicator Light:

The default indicator light is green. When the Xbox 360 power supply light is green it means that there are no problems with your power supply. However, if you are having problems and the power supply light is green, this means that the console is faulty and you need to contact Xbox 360 support.

Orange or Yellow Indicator Light

When the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow this means there is no problem with your console but the power supply can't supply it with power.

To remedy this problem, first try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. You'll also want to uplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord.

Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.

If you are still getting an orange or yellow indicator light, then something is at fault with the Xbox 360 power supply. If this is the case, contact the Xbox 360 customer support to get a new one.

Red Indicator Light:

If the xbox 360 power supply light is red, then there is something wrong with the power supply connection. If this is the case, try the same solution as listed above of unplugging the power supply from the console, unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet and unplugging the power supply from the power cord. Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.

If the indicator lights are still red, then there is a fault with the power supply. If this is the case, contact customer support about getting a new one.

No Indicator Light:

If the XBox 360 power supply light is not illuminating at all, this usually means that the Xbox power supply is not connected to the wall outlet correctly. On the other hand, it might also be a fault with the power supply or the power cord.

Either way, try the same solution as listed above for the red indicator lights. If you still don't see any lights illuminated after unplugging and then reconnecting everything, you'll need to contact customer support about getting a new power supply.

Green and Orange Indicator Light:

If the indicator light is flashing green and orange, this may mean that the console does not detect the AV Pack.

Disconnect and then reconnect the Xbox AV Pack. Make sure the connections are firmly connected. Turn your Xbox back on.

If the indicator light is still flashing green and orange, try another AV pack if one is available.

If the indicator light is still flashing green and orange, you'll need to contact Miscrosoft Customer support.

Flashing Orange Indicator Light:

If your Xbox console's indicator light flashes orange, this means the internal components have overheated and the Xbox has automatically shut down to prevent damage.

Turn off the console and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

To prevent the Xbox from overheating in the future, make sure that it's not placed in a closed cabinet or on carpet. It's best to get the Xbox elevated off the ground where the PSU can have maximum heat release.

You'll also want to make sure the Xbox is not located near a heat source like the back side of a television, computer, monitor, or other electrical device.

Well when I turn on my xbox 360 the third part flashes red.

hello.
CAUSE The three flashing red lights may indicate that your Xbox 360 console has experienced a hardware failure. Please read the letter that discusses warranty changes for three flashing red light hardware failures.

MORE INFORMATION

906101 Xbox 360: The power supply light is red 906102 Xbox 360: The power supply light is orange 906103 Xbox 360: The power supply light is not illuminated

2. Turn off the console. Wait 10 seconds, and then turn on the console again to see whether the symptom occurs again. If your console continues to display the three flashing red lights, your console may have to be repaired. For information about how to start the repair process online, please visit http://www.xbox.com/support, and then click Console Repair in the upper-right section of the Web page.

Note: The online console repair service is currently not available in all countries or regions.
