PS3 PAL HDMI video problem with a HDTV SAMSUNG SQ01
I recently bought an HDTV samsung, I connect it with my PAL PS3 through HDMI cable, and it keeps saying no signal, I tried everything, like changing the display settings of the ps3 or the display settings of the TV, reset the video settings and everything I could possibly think of, and its driving me crazy, what should I do? Since HDMI is a standard worldwide display setting, I don't think it would be an incompatibility issue between my PAL PS3 and the TV, yeah?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It sounds like you've refused an Xbox Live Update at some point.
You can go into your system options and see if there's an update available.
To check for an update on the Xbox 360 you basically force a new Xbox Live connection:
Press the Guide button (center logo button), bringing up the pop-up menu
Go to Settings
Select System Settings
Select Network Settings
Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network if you're on wifi
Select Test Xbox Live Connection
Select Yes if prompted to update. If you're not prompted and the test completes successfully, you have the most recent update.
That error basically means your network connection to the PS3 network servers is unstable. Given the time of year and the number of kids that have snow days and are at home, and parents staying home working across the internet, the most likely cause is simple network congestion. You should notice this issue go away early morning when fewer people are online, and get worse as the day progresses. In some cases, you can set up a VPN or Virtual Private Network connection that can help. If you want to try that, go to this link http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Home-Support/Using-Virtual-Private-Network-VPN-To-Defeat-Network-Error-D50027/td-p/44868077 for instructions on setting it up.
Being Sharp authorized dealer for past 11 yrs. it is one of two problems. 1- Get updated software from Sharp Online. 2- The T-con or otherwise known as controller board has a defect. This board controls all resolution lines and formats down to pixels on your screen. Let me tell you we have a box with several hundred of these boards with various defects all associated to picture and resolution problems. let me know what you find.... EXPERT-TECH@LIVE.COM
After installing batteries in the controller and inserting the usb stick into your PS3, hold down the home button (the round middle most button with a house on it) for a few seconds until the light on the controller illuminates. This is your indicator your controller is paired with your PS3 and should be assignable and usable at this point.
Had a very similar problem recently. I bought a new controller and that solved the problem. 2 of my controllers have ended up useless playing fifa, although pointing at the wii menu is now problem. Its a strange one but the new wiimote works perfect
