Question about Jenn-Air Premier Line Energy Star Cabinet Depth Refrigerator - Side by Side w/ Prostyle - JCD2295KEP

Clicking sound from rear of Jenn Air Premier Line Fridge

My three year old Jenn Air refrigerator is making a clicking noise. It sounds like a solenoid or relay in the back of the unit, followed by a "electrical type sound". It is cooling and freezing fine. There is no set time for this to happen. Could it be a relay trying to turn the compressor on and it takes a few tries. Is the compressor going bad or is is just a simple relay problem. Any ideas as to what it might be and cost to fix.

Simple relay replacement, if you do it yourself you are looking at about 65 dollars max, you call a repair company you are looking at 245 or more

Buzzing/humming noise with jenn-air bottom freezer

i have this problem too on my GE Profile. A youtube video seems to suggest a compressor problem. Turn off the fridge for a while and let it cool down and try again? I tried but to no avail. Would someone answer this? Please :)

Our Jenn-Air French Door bottom freezer refrigerator is making a noise like it's breathing while sleeping. Kind of a wheezing noise. Do you know what this might be and what to do about it? I think it...

This might be a normal noise. when they switched to 134a refrigerant, they had to develop a new oil. This new oil comes over or circulates more easily then the old oil. The oil and refrigerant flow through a capillary tube under 180 psi to the evaporator where it expands. the noises from this process can sound like tapping, chirping, clicking, squealing or wheezing. A hot day, a dirty condenser or when the unit comes out of defrost will make the noises more noticeable.

Maytag refrigerator clicking noise and stopped working

How long a period of time have you noticed this noise? If it just started and the refrigerator just stopped it could have entered its defrost cycle. When the defrost heaters come on you may hear the heat causing some expansion. After a few minutes(18-22) the defrost cycle ends and the refrigerator will restart.

Ice Maker Making Noise

sounds like your icemaker is jammed.

first ofall just feel around the icemaker and see if you can find a peice of ice jamming it that you can remove. if that doesnt work heat it up with a blow dryer until any ice that is there will melt away and it will free up..

there is one other possibility: the stripper could be jammed against the side of the icemaker in which case you'll have to remove the icemaker from the refrig and unjam it..

hope that helps and good luck
