Question about Wurlitzer Jukebox 1015 One More Time 100-Disc CD Changer

Wurlitzer 1015 One More Time....Apparently CDs loaded backwards

When I attempted to play it for the first time, the carrier spun around and the arm picked up the CD and placed it on the playing mechanism. At this point, it wouldn't play the song so I surmised that I probably put the CDs in facing the wrong way. In a nutshell, it appears that it's locked up, confused, whatever. Is there a simple way to clear the memory...reset it? I think it's confused and simply needs to be reset and the CDs turned the opposite way in the carrier. Any help out there? Really would appreciate it.

Spoke with "Doctor Jukebox" from Folsom, CA about a similar problem I had. You can find him on craigslist.

Root cause: The laser isn't "seeing" the CD and interprets inability to see as being the end of the track, therefore, puts the CD back into the carousel.

Solutions:

1) Clean the lens. Be careful to use an appropriate lens cleaning solution. The lens is made of plastic and may cloud up if a harsh solution is used. Use a Q-tip dipped into the cleaning solution and gently clean the lens using a side-to-side motion, not a front-to-back motion. Wait for a bit until the lens is completely dry, then try playing a CD. (note: this fixed the problem for me)

If that doesn't work...

2) Replace the laser module. It's easy to remove with a torx. Be gentle when disconnecting and reconnecting the ribbon cable and/or other connections so you don't bend the leads. Laser modules cost a few hundred dollars, so try Solution 1) above before replacing the module.

FROM DOCTOR FIX
REMOVE ALL CD RECORDS== THERE IS NO NEEDLE IN A CD JUKEBOX,==
YOU ALSO SHOULD NOT HEAR ANY MUSIC IN THE BACK GROUND UNLESS, IT IS A 45 RPM RECORD PLAYING.
MAKE SURE WHAT YOU HAVE.

IF THIS IS A CD JUKEBOX, REMOVE ALL C Ds IN CD MAGAZINE.
PUT ONE CD INTO MAGAZINE, AND GET NUMBER TO THAT C D SHINE
SIDE TO THE LEFT.
THEN START THE MAGAZINE TO SPIN A REVOLUTION. THAT WILL CLEAR MEMORY.
MAKE THAT C D SELECTION ON KEYBOARD. I HAVE THE WURLITZER A COPY OF FACTORY ORIGINAL LITERATURE ON WURLITZER C D IF YOU NEED IT .
SEE IF A SONG STARTS TO PLAY. ALL MEMORY SHOULD BE CLEANED OUT. AND YOU SHOULD HAVE A FRESH START.

The correct way to load a OMT is with the labels facing towards you on the right hand side and away from you on the left. (Just make sure it plays them face down.)
If it spins...thinks about it...spins again and puts the CD back you have a laser fault.

I purchased a used Wurlitzer 1015, question When selecting number 51 is a code number 82 and does not play can you explain me this, what the problem is thanks

The number of Cds in the carousel can be set on the Credit unit to stop it playing fresh air if for example you only have 50 Cds and not a whole 100. Sounds like yours is set to 50 so won't play anything over 50.
I 'think' this is what you do.
On the computer credit unit...
Service Switch ON...Press LT button.
Press 5 on the keyboard once.
Enter 0000
Service Switch off.
Press LT or turn machine off/on.

I have a 1015 one more time 50-Disc Cd Changer Can my 50 disc changer be changed over to 100 disc changer

Yes, you can convert your One More Time to play 100 CDs. You will need a 100 disc carrier and stop pawl, both of which I have available. Please email me for more information, tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

I have a 1993 wurlitzer New York, New York jukebox. it has the same inters as a 1015 one more time. the problem i am having is with the cd gripper arm. it will take a cd from the cd carousal and place it...

I would suspect you have a lubrication (or more specifically lack of lubrication) problem. When the gripper arm is over the carrier, pick it up a couple of inches (as it moves to pickup a CD) and drop it. It should snap right back down. If it doesn't, it will not properly pickup and return CDs. You may be able to lubricate it to get it working again. For further information, you may email me, tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

Wurtlizer k99 turntable spins continously (with the cds) and wont go into test or play mode

Hello,

If the "turntable" you're referring to is the carrier where the CDs are stored, most likely your light gate lamp is burned out. Look underneath the carrier full of CDs at the front and you should see a faint glow. If you don't, and the K & Z LEDs on the Selection and Credit Computer are constantly lit, you'll need to replace the light gate bulb. I have these bulbs and can help further over the phone. Please don't dis-assemble anything without talking to me, or you may get the light gate assembly out of adjustment. Please email tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.

Hello i have a omt 1987 1015 lights power up but will not play when you select led shows record to be playing but does not play will not show credits or house hits have checked all fuses none blown have...

Is your 3 digit display on? If not, does the Z LED Flash when rotating the record carrier? If so, you may need to have your computer repaired. If the Z LED doesn't flash, check the 12 volt fuse in the amplifier. If you need your computer repaired or further assistance, please email me, Rod Stebelton, tech@wurlitzer-ohio.com.
