Question about GE Refrigerators
Water dispenser squirts approximately 3 oz of water every 2-3 hours automatically (i.e. when i'm not pressing the dispenser). Other than appearing ''possessed'', the water dispenser and ice dispenser appear to work fine.
Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong. One activates The water dispenser. The other the ice maker. That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor. The ice maker is telling the valve to open.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.

SOURCE: water leak
as for leaking underneath sounds as if the water line if cracked, or the connectore is loose, sounds like a simple repair, as far as the water squirting from back of frig, sounds like the fill tube leading into the ice maker itself has froen and the back pressure is causing it to leak. remvove the hose again and possible fro the inside usea long thin crew driver and try to clear the ice blockage, ( some tubes are removeable in which case you can run under the sink to thaw out

2. $0.05 if you are concerned about my mental health
3. an insult if i am wasting your time.

look behind the kick plate at teh bottom front of the unit.if you've recently moved the unit it could be trapped back up under the unit somewhere. there should be a slipp in or compression connector for the loose end to connect too..
