Looking for good price on QMS Desklaser supplies

I assume that's a no on the recycled/refilled cartridges for the QMS? :-)

How about new cartridges for the MagiColor 2 Desklaser? Do you sell them? Cost?

Color Laser Printer supplies are a puzzle for toner cartridge remanufacturers.
We get relatively few calls for the so-called leaders like HP's Color LaserJet 5
and don't have HP generics or refills anyway.

We do have compatible supplies for the Lexmark Optra C and Canon CLC 200/ 500/
700/ 800/ 900/50 1000 & 2400 color lasers.

To answer your question, although the QMS Magicolor 2 series and the other
Hitachi SL 1 W based units like Compuprint/ Honeywell PM 400C, DEC LNC 02,
Mannesmann T8104, MITA CI 40P, NEC SS42/4400, Ricoh AP 204 and Savin 416C would
seem like a powerhouse group of products - we've had only a few a requests for
generic or remanufactured cartridges and drums - and only for QMS.

But no generic materials exist for us to use at this point.

Also, to introduce generic products to a new type of printer or copier we need
to be competent to respond to the inevitable 'the company tech said that
your toner contaminated the drum/ developer' With basic black laser printer
products our response is 'OK we'll be right over to solve the problem in 15
minutes, at no charge, and by the way we'd like to quote on servicing your
printers - we're usually 1/2 the cost of the multi-nationals.'

If the color laser printer market takes off like we've been hearing it might
(for the last 2 years, right now it's about 6% of monochrome according to Evans
Research) and a winner emerges we would invest in service training for that
device, as we have for over 30 base types of monochrome laser printers.

But who knows, digital copiers might offer color laser printers some very stiff
competition.
