Problem for NEC SuperScript 1400 Laser Printer
Printing Problems with NEC 870

Printing to a NEC 870 laser printer is erratic.
Generally the first print job of the day either on
Wordperfect, Word or printing from the web will give a
page with no legible printing, the next time printing
the same page it may be in the largest type with 4 to 5
letters on the page. The third time it may print the
page correctly. I have checked for a new print driver on
the NEC website but it says use the one on the
installation CD. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in
advance for your help.

I'm going to assume that your reference to the "installation CD"
is to the Win XP disk, as that is what NEC says you are to use.
Again, assuming that you are using the Win XP driver and it is
giving you a problem then I recommend you go back to the NEC
Technologies website and download the Win 2000 driver. I had to
do that for the Superscript 1400 and it works just fine under XP.
