You need to press and hold the vol up and down on the
Tv front panel till it turns off, then turn it back
on ,this will exit from the demo mode...

Good luck...

To disable the Demo mode, perform the following:

  1. Turn GA_googleFillSlot("TL-IMU-Article"); on the TV.
  2. Simultaneously hold down the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the front of the TV. Do not use the remote control.
  3. Hold for about 6 seconds
  4. Certain model TVs may turn off, others will not. But in either case, the Demo mode should be disabled.

Magnavox tv is stuck in demo mode or something. It is from the 90's. I don't know the serial number off hand, but I need to get it out of demo mode. I tried the volume up volume down buttons. I can...

If you can find the model number (probably located on the back of the TV) you can go to the magnavox website at www.support.magnavox.com and search for your model number. They have troubleshooting tips and tricks for a lot of common problems. You may need to speak with a representative directly to help solve your specific problem. After you find your model on the website, you can download the user manual from the left panel, which may help as well.

Mute and C on the screen

The TV is in factory or demo mode - turn tv off and unplug it from wall outlet for 30 seconds - turn tv back on after 30 seconds and see if problem goes away. If not, press the (volume -) and (channel -) buttons repeatedly for about 10 seconds to see if "C" will go away. If this fails call 1-888-PHILIPS for further assistance (they do Magnavox also).

Magnavox Projection

What is model number? A magnavox 51MP392 is a CRT rear projection type and doesn't use a bulb (unless he was refering to the CRT's as bulb). And they are prohibitively expensive.

Convergence without a remote

First off, you do need the original remote to adjust the convergence, Second, the service mode will not fix your problem. If the colors have all drifted, you have a problem in the convergence drive circuit. Most likely the convergence IC's are bad or going bad. The service menu is not a fix all for the problems with the convergence. The service mode will or can make minor convergence adjustments, not anything where all the colors are off. If you have no solid state repair experience, call out a service person to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
