Internet quits working

After installing the nx-3000 on my laptop, the camera works fine but causes the internet to quit working. I have to uninstall the software and then restore to a previous time to be able to surf again

None of the above. With the camera software installed, it disconnects from the internet. No conflicts in the device manager. Wireless doesn't work and if I connect a cat 5 cable it still won't connect. I even tried the updated software from Microsoft, I still have the same issue. It is a HP laptop running a turion amd processor, with 2 gigs of ram and running xp sp3.

Install the cam, confirm that the network is not connecting, then go to Device Manager. start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager.then Scroll down the list to Network adapter and click on the "+". If there is a problem with a resource conflict then there should be a yellow, red or black! next to the network adapter. Let me know which one it is.

After you get your camera installed properly, DO NOT unplug it from the USB port as it will cause
the drivers to be corrupt and render the camera unusable till reinstalled it properly.

Follow the instructions below and it will work.

Disconnect the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program.

When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.

Then to use it on the Web, do this.

Can't make webcam work on Acer Travelmate 4500

This sounds like a USB issue. Not all USB ports on laptops are created equal (they should be but they are not) some usb ports supply enough voltage and current to run usb items properly and some dont. It is always better to run direct from the computer / laptops ports .

If you cant do this then use a HUB but make sure the HUB HAS IT"S OWN POWER SUPPLY !

Also make sure you always use the same port and swapping them around does not always work for all hardware.

LIFECAM WONT INSTALL RIGHT

Go to the link below and download the latest software for the camera.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ICE

Uninstall what you have now. Restart the computer. Install the software that you downloaded. DO NOT connect the camera until the installation tells you to do so. Following the installation, adjust the mic and speakers. I have found that it is better to use a headset w/mic rather than a mic and speakers.

Good luck, and please let me know how this works out for you.

Error Msg: Problem occure during Hardware installation

Having Nero installed can cause this problem. This is from the Microsoft Knowledge base. There are some other programs that can cause this problem. Search "Lifecam Program" I believe I have tracked the problem down to this. I have not uninstalled Nero yet, But Nero crashes when trying to launch it video utilities. So at this point I am presuming that tere is a conflict.
