Speakers do not usually go bad. Using device manager attempt to re install the audio driver in laptop. If that does not do the trick then your audio circuitry is fubar. Since you cannot pop in an audio card as in a desk top only remedy is mo bo replacement - not recommended due to high high mo bo cost and labor intensive. For what it would cost to fix, cheaper and better to replace unit.

Instructions for set up of... plantronics s10 head set and mic to a dsl box and also to use a magic jack.....I only have one phone line and am trying to figure out how this os done???any help would be very...

The S10 amplifier/headset system sets up like the Plantronics S12 system of which the user guide is included in the link below. As you will notice, it is designed to work with a telephone. It will not work as a stand-alone unit. To connect it to a dsl box, magic jack or any other line you will need a phone.

I have the Plantronics S11 headset and I can hear callers, but they can't hear me, I need to know what to do. The phone is working fine and everything is all set up correctly as far as I can tell.

There are a couple of basic things to check first. You want to make sure the mute is turned off and your outgoing (mic) volume is loud enough (there is the speak level switch on the side and the speak volume control on top). Also, you want to make sure it is connected through the handset jack on the phone (generally it will not work through the headset jack on the phone). Finally you want to make sure it's configured right (scale located on the side).

I am on network 3 on anew htc wildfire s but skype does not work through my head set on bluetooth but works through any phone

If I am thinking right, you have the app for Skype on your cell phone. When you use Skype on your PC you have to be in the control panel to set up the information for Skype. So for your cell you will probably have to go to the settings on your cell phone and adjust the Skype with your headset. Not sure what the settings are with your phone, nor do I know what application of Skype that you have. You should talk to the technical department for your cell phone or with the technical representative from Skype.

this is a normal reaction ..specially on a wireless device ..the idea is to lower the volume into the computer ..(to max 80%)..and also get into the volume control by double clicking on the speaker icon in the task bar ..and in here look at the mic volume
if there isnt any volume section for the mic..than click options ..than properties..and from the list tick the case for mic in ..and will list the volume for mic..
if the advanced function is on ..check into the advanced under the microphone it is started the mic boost function ..if it is ..and you want to keep it for a better mic reception ..than you have to put the mic on mute to eliminate the static noise..
THis should not mute it for good..but you can make a trial to be sure..
If the advance boost function is on ..and the muting puts it out for good..the choice is to get rid of the boost but usually works if you mute it ..cause only mutes the noise ..
let me know if you didn't understood anything ..

Plantronics S11 head set does not work: hooked up properly, but non of the configuration setting yield tone. At one setting, only after the line goes into fast bipping mode (off hook for a long time) I can...

The Plantronics S11 headset system is meant to plug into the handset jack on your phone not the headset jack. Check the connection on the S11 to make sure the handset jack is where it is plugged into at.

Here are a few suggestions from Plantronics if you are not getting a dial tone:

Make sure all cable connections are correct and firmly in place.

Pay special attention that handset cord is properly connected.

Ensure AC power adapter is connected and power is on.
Make sure you have pressed the headset button and the headset indicator is on.

Make sure the telephone handset is off-hook.

Adjust listen volume control.

Adjust the compatibility slide switch.

Ensure that the headset is centered on your ear.

Voyager 520 headset on a macbook, trying to use skype

have you gone into system preferences/sound.input/output settings?
try making a free test call, and you can play around with all your settings that way...also helps to keep the volume turned down on your mac, and just adjust it using your headset.

Auxilary RCA inputs have no volume control

Your problem stems from the fact that the CDA-7892 is not equipped with an RCA aux-input jack. If you're plugged into RCA connectors at the back of the head unit, they're outputs, not inputs. The sound you hear is just feeding back through the outputs and into the head unit's amplifier. If you want to play your iPod through this head unit, you need to purchase either the auxiliary input adapter (KCA-121B) or iPod adapter (KCA-420i).
