We purchased this tv almost 2 years ago and in the last few months have noticed green reflections appearing across the top and left side of the unit. It flickers in and out and is very distracting when watching television. It happens on cable and dvd...just wondering if it is worth fixing...we paid $1,099 at Costco but the unit is very rarely used because it is a second TV and we feel we didn't get our moneys worth.

Have you tried lifting the ground on the TV? That set has a grounded (3-prong) plug and sometimes sccrolling lines can be caused by a ground loop in your power lines. Are the green and purple lines very short, like just a few rows of pixels tall, or multiple inches, like 3 - 8 tall?
I have not solved problem, although I paid you to solve it many months ago. The information I paid for was not the problem although the answer I was given was someone telling me it was for sure the problem.

I had one red line at the beginning, then another one the same red, then couple months and green one. I fixed it by replacing one of the board inside (140$) and the problem is gone. The same model PDP4216M. Any questions e-mail me at email@example.com
My 42 inch Akai is about 6 months old,, and is showing green where black should be..

with a $75.00 deductable. THey will fix or Replace (give you choice of three alternate models/brands).
Free services under this plan are adjustments, and One FREE remote per year!.
i recomend you sign up for this program, and after 90 days. call for service. They more than likely will replace your TV's.
This is what they did with mine..
it doesn't matter how old your TV is, the plan is applicable to all TV's in your household. So one plan, one monthly payment of $10.00, covers all the TV's you own!!
Mine's out, too. Red Horizontal bars Left and Right, picture goes in and out(meaning fuzzy-no picture) on Left half and the TV tuner is gone, I can play DVD with half of a screen most of the time, occasionally the whole screen.
I should have returned my "returnable model" three years ago when I noticed Wal-Mart was NOT accepting returns when purchased after a certain date (I had purchased just before that date) Big, Big, OOPS!!
Repair estimate starts at $800, not guaranteed, and that does NOT include repairing the TV tuner. Ouch, Ouch, Ouch.
I see Hyundai stopped selling these units... anyone in the Chicago area that wants it for parts, let me know.
