How can i disconnect the talk back on a connex 3300 plus? pleasa be specific on directions. thanks

in older connex 3300's you cannot disable the talk back. Its part of the audio chain. If you disable the talk back you will loose your audio. There are 2 things you can do.

Hook a relay to the speaker so that when the radio key's id disconnects the speaker. (Big pain, not worth the trouble.)

The other will not disable the talk back but it will stop any squealing.

Use a noise canceling mic. An RK-56 will work great. You will get no squealing with that mic.

My 2950 transmits on 1 channel higher when first turned on what causes this?

the radio needs to be aligned. The VCO may be unlocked.

What ever is not in alignment is off ever so slightly so that when you turn it on, its off freq, but once it warms up it is on, because some parts will slightly change values due to heat or temperature change.

It may also be a resistor that is loosing its value some where in the mixing circuit. Its off until it gets warm because it is going bad.

If you know what you are doing you can track it down with an ohm meter. Each color code is a different value. If the resistor is not what the code says it is, then there is a problem.

You should take it to a tech to have it aligned. In most cases, because its of and or the VCO is off, it can drift until its been aligned again and the VCO is locked up.

Cybernet CB Radio does not receive or transmit. Switches on OK and lights up. ?? Can anyone advise how I can fix this ? (UK)

Several areas to check, Squelch should be all the way rotated to the left, Microphone may have a bad wire, bad audio amp.... Deeper problem could be a bad switching diode or bad relay if it is an older rig. Since the mic is the first thing to go bad, that is where you should focus...

88, hi- the problem your describing depends on whether the red keyup light stays on while it's breaking up. I'll give you some possibilities to check as all of these could cause what your describing.
1- A broken audio wire in the mic cord.
2- Dirty mic switch.
3- The mic jack starting to come loose/or has rotated.
4- Circuit board ground screws starting to come loose.
5- Make sure all coax and jumpers are screwed on tight.
Thats about all I can think of right now, one of these is causing your problem.
Hope this helps you out, let us know,, Mechanic

No audio output with internal OR external speaker. Any suggestions? Could it be audio circuit and is this a common problem? Also need schematic for 75-822.

Unfortunatly this is a common problem. I have found that the mic switch ( PTT Switch ) doesn't always make good comtact internally ( You might spray some contact cleaner in the switch ) and also you might look close at the speaker jack in the radio. It may have broken contacts ( the lead broke loose from the board ). Resolder them and it should work. Good Luck

No audio

Have you tried to check the audio as it is coming off of the detector right before it enters the first audio amplifier? you can check this with an oscilloscope and then trace the signal through the stages of amplification the signal should get bigger. I think that you may have blown the final audio output amp. and what you are gearing is pre-driver audio through a leakage path. This is just a hypothesis, but I have seen this happen before.
