If you go to the start menu and right click my computer on the list at the bottom it says properties click thAt a window will open called system properties on the tab titled hardware at the top click that a window for the hardware will open and you are looking for device manager in the device manager you can update and mess with whatever you have installed on your computer. now look for sound video and game controllers on the left is a plus arrow click the + symbol and it will expand your devices look for anything titled with the words (audio driver) this should give you make and model information of your sound card and drivers from here you can use windows (by double clicking your selection) to troubleshoot and update that driver or what i would reccomend is write that information down and then google search the description for your sound card and driver i think a generic driver is called legacy audio driver or something like that. anyways hope this fix ya
best regards,
ryan

Make sure the files aren't too big, and look up the specs on your model MP3 player to see what video files it's programmed to play. Also check to see if there are any updates online for your device.

Did the lacie unit can play mpeg4 trp. file?

If you're talking about the Lacie external hard drives they can "play" any file. What you need to have is the correct software to actually watch the files. Winamp, or VLC media player are two items that will play that type of file.

RCA L6H media player having trouble playing .mkv files.

It could be due to outdated codec.

You can try to install CCCP or K-Lite Codec Pack that you can download in the link below

Make sure to remove all codec packs that you have installed before installing the codec packs.

Hope it helps:

I am having problems playing back downloaded files.

Are the files actually .mp3 format? There are a few different compressed formats available now and some mp3 players etc are not compatible with these formats.
Older players (and some current ones) for instance will not play .wma files which are Windows Media Audio files.

Downloading music on my mp3

Your player appears as a USB mass storage device in the My Computer window. You can organize files and transfer music to your player while connected via USB connection.

1.     Click and highlight one or more songs to transfer between your player and your computer

2.     Use drag and drop actions to transfer music files and folders to your player

3.     Organize your music in folders. Your player will play your music folder by folder so that you can organize your music by artists and albums. You can drag and drop entire folders to your player. Your player will play the music files that are not inside folders first followed by the music files inside folders

Use other Mp3 ripper software. I think the problem is Windows Media Player rips it to WMA file and not as Mp3 file.
