Easiest way is to take out the CF card and put it into a USB card reader with a CF slot.
You can then just drag/drop files from the camera card to your PC.

If you have taken RAW files only you will need to convert the pics to JPG using the canon photo professional software.

How can I transfer pictures to the computer?

Two easy ways - one is to connect your camera to the USB port on your computer with the appropriate lead, at which point Windows (tm) will recognise it as a satellite drive and you can copy the images across to any folder of your choice. The other is to remove the memory card from the camera and use a card reader to transfer the images.

How to view pictures off ch-ez splash digital camera

Be aware your camera expects a 5 Volt on the usb cable, for charging, unless a computer gives a signal that is connected to transfer pictures. Then the computer will "tell" the camera how to transport the pictures. So don't expect your camera to become a unintelligent USB memory stick.

Why won't my camera turn on,even when I have i plugged in to power supply?

As soon as you plug in an USB cable into a camera, it will stop working and think you want to charge it, or you have connected it to a computer. It is looking for a signal coming in on the USB port, to do what is asked, like working like an external memory disk, to transport pictures to the computer.

I have nikon d3000,i use kingston 8gb sdhc card which came with it suddenly the card says cannot be used,,,,please help me i have my babies pictures in it.....they are worth more than my entire property.

You are putting pressure on me that I can not control. Did you download these pictures to the computer "hard drive"? Have you downloaded pictures from this camera to the computer before using this memory card? Are you using the camera to transport the pictures or do you have a card reader?

First step is to secure those pictures from loss and that's by downloading them to the computer and saving them in a file folder with a name you are going to remember. Baby's name perhaps.

You must have the camera software installed first before download
Download the pictures first the rest is easy.

Hi. Turn on the camera and go into the menu and find the reset function. Reset it. That may solve your problem. If it does not, you could go for a repair or a replacement. Some shops will give you a free estimate. Joe

Trimming

Unfortunately, while this is an excellent camera and can do many things...

Cropping the images before transporting them to your computer is not something that this camera can do. You'll have to transfer the images to your computer and use your choice of software to crop and trim the images.

Sorry. :P

Putting Internal Pic's on the SD card

Well one option would be to download the images from the cameras internal card to your computer and then transfer them to the card. I have a card reader so it would be easy to do, or if your computer has a slot for the card that would work too. Or, just hook your camera up to the computer and use the image downloading wizard that pops up in XP. Or, if it doesn't show/pop up, just hook up camera to 'puter via cord & then click on my computer and you'll see the camera listed. Move image files & then you may need a card reader to transfer images to xd. Not sure why you would want to keep them on the XD card except to transport them around to another 'puter.
