Re: The HDMI connector broke loose from its mounting...
It is possible for the HDMI connector to be re-soldered back on. However as the pin connections are small & delicate it is possible that some of the pads on the board may have been damaged, if this is the case then a new board would be required.

TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy Go to this site and order the main tuner board. You can fix this TV yourself. It's not hard at all. You only have to lay the TV face down on a blanket and remove the screws that hold the back on. Then unplug all the connectors from the board. Remove the screws that mount the board to the TV and replace the board. Put the TV back together and you're done.
I would also just buy a new board .BUT keep the old board for parts! This way if anything goes out you can compare components on the board etc and figure out what's wrong and also use the parts for repairs when you need them. Some of those boards HDMI ports have the tiniest solder joints and you can easily bridge them make the board useless anyway. These things are way more fragile than the old CRT tv's. Just be a little more careful next time.
Re soldering the sockets connections on the pcboard will normally fix this problem. It is unusual to require a socket but possible. Sockets are available through a good electronics outlet, depending on your country.

Check the power supply modular cable connection that is by itself in the upper right corner. On the one my son-in-law has the double yellow jumper wire that connects to this plug in two locations was loose (not properly inserted) in the modular connector and had worked it way out.
