Re: bobbin does not wind all the way up
I'm assuming the bobbin winding mechanism is on the upper portion of the machine (right hand side). There should be a white "knob" next to the bobbin when engaged for rewinding. The "knob" detects when the spool is full and stops the rewinding. It should be able to be pulled straight out toward you. Adjust the "knob" until it allows the spool to fill completely. You can either remove it and reattach or just gently twist it in place. If you gently push the "knob" to the left you can feel it release the rewinding mechanism. Otherwise, contact local authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for their assistance. You can find the closest dealer at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Sounds like you need to remove some thread off the bobbin to get the pressure off. Sometimes if you wind too fast or you have a poor quality thread, the thread will stretch as it winds and causes to bobbin to compress onto the winder shaft.
If still an issue, suggest you visit an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for assistance. They are usually eager to help.

They have many different models so threading and winding the bobbin can vary due to your model. I would recommend calling them at: 1-800-474-6437 and see if they can get you a photo copy of your original owners manual.
Is this a Designer 1 or a #1? There is no moving lever on the pin of a Deigner 1,they are fixed. If it's a #1, use sewing machine oil or Triflow. NEVER use 3 in 1 oil. It will gum up and cause problems later on.
Something didn't click back in place when you removed the bobbin from the winding mechanism. Try winding another bobbin. Make sure it stops, then remove it. If the problem continues, take it to an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. They should still be able to take a look at it. Check Husqvarna Viking website for dealer closest too you.
