Power buttton won't turn the TV on.

This is a new one, I can't find anything here to compare it to. We have a Magnavox 20MS233S. It was purchased in Dec 2006. Last Saturday our electric power blinked and went off for about 10 minutes. The TV was on at the time, as was the satellite reciever. So now the power button on the TV won't work to turn it off/on. Neither will any remote that is just for the TV. If you hit the power button for the satelite reciever, the TV shuts off/on also. Now get this, if we hit the power button on the Reciever box, NOT the remote, the TV shuts off/on along with the reciever. I disconnected the coaxiel cable to the TV, then we could shut off/on the Reciever. But this didn't help to get the TV on/off. One more thing, the remotes still work to adjust the volume & change channels. Any suggestions??
