Question about EuroCave Comfort 260 Collector's Package Wine Cellar - Black

1 Answer

Door warped....... The glass door on the Eurocave Comfort Model # 206968 is warped at the top of the door and can be seen as such visually. I can push in the top of the door with one hand and hold the other hand over the top and I can feel the increase in airflow as it pushes in. Where can I go (if possible) to find a replacement door?

    Thanks joboo1,

Everything is level. The door is definitely warped outwards nearly one inch at the top. I was able to add another latch up top and this pulls it tight and seals and doesnt affect the bottom. My customer was also closing the door with the lock closed so it wasnt latched closed only pushed partially closed.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi, These cabinets have 2 sheets of tempered glass with an airspace between and are fully reversible I would doubt they are warped. My best guess is that the cabinet is not square. If you have a level, check it across the top of the cabinet not the door. Also check it diagonally both directions. The cabinet has feet which are adjustable unless you have a low spot on the floor for which you may have to use a shim. Remember that it needs to lean slightly to the rear for the door to close on its own if partially open. Good Luck to you! Let me know how this works for you.

Why is our EuroCave DUO wine cooler model D264 freezing 1/4 inch of ice on back wall inside cooler?

Most cases of ice build up can be traced to seals that leak humid air into the cooler. Check the door seal carefully using a fresh $1 bill. The bill should not pull out easily when the door is closed. If the unit has a self defrost feature it it is not coming on. Ice buildup inside a wine cooler is very rare. The cooler box should not reach 32deg in normal operation. Does the unit seem to run continuously?

Excess condensation in my eurocave 266

Check the door seal gasket is sealing without any gaps. Check the ambient temperature isn't too high, and check the condenser is clear and aired.

One side of my Eurocave SoWine Cooler does not work.

As you must be aware there are individual fans in both the compartments. Check if the fan is running in the compartment not cooling. If not, check the wires / connection of fan or replace the fan.
If the fan is working than the issue may be with the THERMO ELECTRIC ELEMENT. you'll need to replace it.

Moving a Eurocave wine cooler laying flat

the reason you should not lay a fridge/freezer on its side is that you will get air bubbles in the cooling pipes, which you may not be able to get rid of when you turn it back upright.I have moved loads of f/f, in the past and have had no problems,as long as you give the unit at least 24 hours to right itself.....and keep the door(s) closed while it is "resting"

No light, no fans running, nothing. temp gauge still working

It is possible that the unit has a switch somewhere which may have been accidentally switched off? On some units you can switch the complete unit off by turning the thermostat counterclockwise.

The digital temperature display on the EuroCave has a small lithium battery that can be replaced by removing the bezel around the display. This was all that was needed to solve the problem.

Temp won't go down to target

Sounds like your unit is low on refrigerant gas.  Too little gas causes rapid boiling of refrigerant and makes the cold spots.  You'll need professional help.
