Question about Haier BC112G Wine Cooler
The past few months we noticed the wine cooler stayed at around 42 degrees regardless of how we set it. The back a bit of ice. We defrosted and reset it. Went down to 42 again and completely got icy in the back. My husband thinks it should just be thrown away. Is this a problem that can be fixed moderately easy. We have no handy man in htis house.
Unit may be a little low on refrigerant or a faulty thermostat. Worth repairing if you are thinking of replacing a new one. A little dust on the fins at rear has nothing to do with your freezing up problem.

Have you checked the fins in the back to make sure that they are clean and not clogged with dust. If you have or you do not have any then your compressor is bad and you are best just throwing it away. If you have fins back there, use a spray bottle with hot water and put a towel under it and just spray and spray and spray until you can see through it with a flash light
