Using integrated webcam for emachines d520

I do not see any program link for me to use the integrated webcam that is on my laptop. It is in the hardware device list and says there are no problems. However, I do not see a way to turn it on

I have a Emachines regular laptop ( e machines and acer is actually the same ).. I can turn the webcam on trough the video software, but when i turn it on, on windows live messenger it turns it self off just when the cam invitasion is accepted, and my cam is about to start.. Frustrating,. Can somebody help ?

Integrated webcams are usually turned on by the software you are using. When you exit the software, the webcam is turned off.

If you have a gmail account, try this:

http://mail.google.com/videochat

Or try one of the free IM programs like Yahoo or Windows Live Messenger and run through the video setup screens. It should enable your webcam.

Hello there,
Usually these built in webcams already have their drivers installed. To use them, you would use a program that utilizes the camera such as Skype or MSN messenger. If you would like a program just for taking picture with other webcam features, I use Yawcam

I use WebCamMax or WheresJames Webcam Publisher works well with windows 7 http://www.webcammax.com/ http://www.wheresjames.com/
your webcam should be working with windows 7 installed if not let me know the OS and ill get the drivers and the software will work on any cam you have installed.

use a program like MSN messenger live or any peer to peer or chat program that supports video conferencing.

select video option and away you go, even skype supports video

Cannot find out if my laptop v50s1 has built in webcam
That model should have an integrated webcam. You should be able to access the cam by clicking your start button, then go to the control panel and look for devices. The camera should be listed as one of your devices, double click the camera.

I Have an Emachine E627 Laptop and I'd like to use my webcam
I have an emachines e627 and it has a webcam, because there are different models of the emachines e627. Most likely you have an emachines e627-5583, that model has a webcam. If you are trying to use your webcam there is a program that is built in called just go to "C:\Windows\Video Web Camera.exe". I hope this works for you

Can't find my webcam
If it has an integrated webcam, you can use it with programs that support it. Typically chat programs allow you to use the webcam (Yahoo messenger, MSN, Skype, etc.).
You can also record video with your webcam.
