HELP pls
Today tested more of my Buffalo P133 NEC chipset
PIII 550E FPGA
Tekram P6Pro-Au
Via 694x cheapset!!...
Bios 1.01
Windows 98 2nd Edition.
Problem:
1) Running win98 2nd edi. at 550Mhz, and 133 MHz DRAM (Host +33)always
bluescreen, hang in middle of using, etc, etc.
2) But running at 550Mhz at 100 MHz is ok and stable.
3)Also, CPU o/c to 733Mhz at 133 Mhz DRAM is BAD, but keep at 733 Mhz but
tune down DRAM speed to 100 Mhz (Host -33Mhz) is also very good, no problem.
Question:
Why can't my PC133 run at 133Mhz????
Could it be due to Windows 98 2nd Version, or is it because my ram is just
FUCKED...? It is 99% not remark ram, and I thought Buffalo is good brand
shit shit...

or higher (host+33). You should try to test it at 133mhz to see if it works
fine.

On my case, since I do not have PIII 550E yet, I have tested with a PII-350
found out that when I use 100MHz and RAM speed set at Host+33, computer
hangs at Virus Check line.
However, using 133MHz and chipset feature fail-safe default, computer works
fine. If chipset feature is set to optimised default, computer hangs at
Virus Check line.
At 140MHz, works fine at chipset feature fail-safe default.
At 150MHz, nothing seen on screen. Don't know if CPU problem or RAM problem.

P500E
Tekram P6pro-Au
FBS = 150MHz
CPU Speed = 5 x 150
RAM Type = Buffalo PC133 SDRAM w/ WinBond "~-7H" chipset
RAM Speed = both host or host+33 are hangup before ram check!!! Only
host-33 (117MHz)is OK
Besides the possibility of defect of Ram, what would be the other
reason.

that cannot run at 133mhz is definitely defective and deserves for a
replacement.
