My rca opal m4208 wont tern on

I  was just listening to my music. I went into settings and took shuffle off. Then I tried to skip back a couple of songs and it froze with the lights on. I plugged it into the computer and the computer doesn't even realize it is plugged in.

I have an rca opal#M4208GR-B that seems to have lost the ability to show which songs are on the menu. In fact, the entire choice for music, radio etc. has disappeared leaving only the icons such as hammer...

i have the same damn problem. On the menu screen, i don't see any words, letters and ect. I only see the icons. When I try playing the music on my opal m4208-GR, It only shows a black screen. So i don't know what too do. I tried reformatting and the firmware update. Im guessing you have too kill the battery for the whole day. Try playing the mp3 all day until the battery drains out. Hopefully it can regain memory after that.

My mp3 shuffles all the music

Do you have a shuffle or random mode as default when you are copying music to the mp3 player?

If not, did you have a lot of music on the player before deleting some of it? Because then the software will try and copy music files into the "gaps", which might explain why your play order isn't the right order.

RCA M4208 mp3 player issues

did you first import media to your easy rip, if not that could be the problem. otherwise I a not sure what it could be but easy rip is not that great of a software, once you import the song and decide to move its location you have to import it again and duplicates remain on easy rip which is very annoying, but thats another issue. If you want you can also use windows media player to add music by syronize your MP3 with it. this could be alot simpler.
