Question about HP Computers & Internet

IPAQ hw6915 frozen

I used to have this problem where my iPAQ hangs up and then I remove the battery and put it back and it comes OK usually. This time, it froze and does not work anymore. The only thing that appears is the flash screen in the beginning and WindowsMobile does not start at all. I removed the battery several times and got it in back in but didn't work and it has been like that for 2 days now.

I connected the iPAQ now to the pc via USB, and the flash screen appears but nothing happens and I can't get into the iPAQ via PC as well.

Any help please?

    it's not an ipod ... it's HP iPAQ.

    Thank you very much. Though I had to lose all the data and build up everything now, but at least I can see it working again!
    A piece of advice... do not buy HP stuff (though they have some nice products to be honest but their technical service sucks).

    Performing a Clean Reset
    A clean reset clears all user-installed settings, programs, and data, and restores
    your HP iPAQ to factory settings.
    To perform a clean reset and return your HP iPAQ to factory settings:
    1.Press and hold the Answer/Send, Power, and End Call buttons.
    2.While holding these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the bottom of the HP iPAQ until the device restarts.
    3.When the HP iPAQ restarts, release all of the buttons, and then remove the stylus from the Reset button.
    The HP iPAQ restarts and powers on.

Won't turn on


1.Check the device's battery level for at least two bars of strength.
2.If the battery level is low, charge the battery.
3.If the issue is not resolved, remove the back cover.
4.Remove the battery.
5.Wait 10 seconds.

Im download app into my hp ipaq,then it hang/jam...it not running like usual..

For hanging/Jam problem, few factors can be involved, First of all you have to check, how much space is being left in phone memory after installing particular applications, To check the settings, Go to settings, Memory,
Solutions:
1. Soft Reset,
Try resetting the device while hold down the End Key for few seconds, when the phone is switched off take off battery for few minutes, then try putting the battery again, It will clear the memory used by the softwares,
CAUTION: Make sure to close all running applications before performing a soft reset, since a soft reset erases all unsaved data in such applications.

2. Hard Reset
Hard reset will restore your Ipaq to factory default settings, Perform a factory or hard reset when there is a need to clear all settings, programs, and data from the RAM.

  1. Turn off your iPAQ by holding down the End key.
  2. Then hold down the center of the 4-Way Navigation key and turn on the iPAQ again while continuing to do so

    3. A confirmation screen opens asking whether you want to perform a hard reset or not. SelectYes . The iPAQ will reboot with its original factory settings.
NOTE: The applications and data present on your iPAQ before performing the hard reset can be reinstalled by synchronizing your iPAQ with a computer using ActiveSync/WMDC (Windows Mobile Device Center). bilalseham_6.jpg

Hello,

The batteries from Ebay that are from China have lots of issues. I use an HP 6945 phone/pda and had the same issue with my original battery. I tried a cheap battery and it died within 2 months. I ordered an HP original battery and have been using it again full strength for 7 months. The new battery works bluetooth, wi-fi and gps as well as phone down to about 15% before I recharge. The HP batteries are more expensive but they are worth the extra price.
