How do I delete a downloaded theme on my BlackBerry Pearl 8130?

I downloaded a couple of new themes on my Pearl. Now I want to delete them. In my tutorial it states to go to themes, highlight the theme you would like to delete, click the menu key, click DELETE. I can follow all these simple steps but after I highlight the theme and click the menu key, the only options it list are HELP, DOWNLOAD THEME, RESET THEME DEFAULTS, SWITCH APPLICATIONS, and CLOSE. There is no option to DELETE. Please help! Thank you!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How to install blackberry themes?

THere are a couple ways to install a theme, the easiest way is OTA (Over the air) meaning you download direct to your device, the other way is to download and install using desktop software,

I suggest using the OTA method, for free themes a great resource is the crackberry forums, try searching on google "Crackberry Forums Free Themes Curve 8520" then all you need to do is click an OTA link, once downloaded to activate go to Options> Display> Theme>Select theme to activate

here are some links to find themes

Google (FREE) (this is a link to google search for free themes in crackberry forums)

Downloaded a theme, how do I set it up???

hi friend,
step 1
Open Blackberry App World from your phone. Go to search and put in the word "theme." Pick a theme you like and click "purchase" or "download" if the theme is free. If you want to get a theme from a third-party vendor, open your phone's browser, put in the address of the site you want to download, and choose a theme.
  • Step 2 If you have to pay to purchase the theme from Blackberry App World, you will be prompted to enter your Pay Pal account information and confirm your purchase. Once that is complete, it will prompt to download then take you to My World, where you can watch the download's progress. Once the theme is downloaded, click it to install. Depending on the theme, you may be prompted to reboot your phone. If you are using a third-party vendor, you will put in your payment information and download directly or via email. Some vendors will allow you to purchase on line and have the theme sent directly to your handset via email or SMS.
  • Step 3 Once your phone is rebooted, click the menu button and go to "Options," then "Theme." From there you should be able to choose your theme. You may have to accept terms of service and an end user license agreement.
  • jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); Tips & Warnings
    • If you ever want to change themes, just go back to Menu, Options and Theme and choose a new one.
    • New Blackberry users should note -- even if you have a memory card installed, your theme will go to flash memory, and not your memory card. Make sure your phone has sufficient memory free to download and run new themes. Ideally you should have about 20 MB free for your phone to run well. Also, some cell phone carriers have a cap on bandwidth, so you should keep track of your data usage so that you aren't hit with extra fees.
    hope this helps u
    please rate me........................
    thank u for using fixya

Texts and call logs deletes themselves every couple minutes

This is a known software issue on the Pearl, which can be fixed with a software update. You can download the latest software (currently the 4.5 software) from either www.blackberry.com or www.vzam.net/blackberry

    Not receiving text messages

You are running out of memory, just free up your memory. You can do this by doing some or all of the following:

    • Clear your log (hold alt and press lglg>then menu key>select "Clear Log">confirm)
    • Close programs you're not currently using (hold alt and back button) Some items will always be running like messages, phone, browser, home screen so on and so forth, leave those running
    • Uninstall themes and programs that you are not using anymore (Options>Advanced Options>Applications) [Leave the following applications on the phone or you will have trouble: BlackBerry "Version # i.e. 4.2" Core Applications; BlackBerry System Software; BlackBerry Attachment Service; Browser; Help; Phone. The rest are if you use them or not i.e. Tasks; MemoPad, BB Messenger, if you don't use them then you can delete them without major problems on your phone)
    • Move photos, music, video and other multimedia over to your disc instead on the actual BB device. Also delete ringtones that you no longer use
    • From your desktop uninstall languages that you do not need
    • Delete out your old text messages and emails, try to save them on your computer instead of your laptop (with email) or forward text messages that you need to your email then delete the actual text message
This should be a good start to clearing out your memory and start receiving text messages again along with your call logs showing up. If you remove an application it will ask to reboot, let it and then send a text message from online to make sure that you're up and working again. Then maintenance your BlackBerry about every week afterwards depending on your storing habits. Hope it works!
