4 gigalan jacks on the rear, if yes
all 4 work, just connect your cables.

Are you using LAN Cable ,Wifi or USB modem?
First of all make sure all driver installed correctly.
Secondly Check your anti virus database otherwise disable it first

did you mean your laptop wifi connection driver ?
if it is then try reinstall your laptop os.it automatically solve your problem.
if it was not your built in wifi connection then download your modem driver from there website.

Here's how to get the router communicating with your modem.
You stated you've got internet hooked up, so I'll assume it's working..

So here's the procedure:
1. Turn off your modem (you can leave it connected .. just turn it off.
2. Turn off computer, router and any printer.
3. Make sure you've got a ethernet cable connected between your modem and wifi router.
4. Turn on the power to your Router ONLY. and let it boot up.
5. Now turn on your modem and let it boot up.. it will find your wifi router and all lights should lite on the modem.
6. Turn on your computer and it should find the wifi signal and you should be ready to go!
Keep these instructions and follow this procedure if you have a power outage... the sequence of events is the key.

( I DIDNT UNDERSTAND THIS TILL I ACTURLY GOT INTO THE BIOS) THE NEW DISK WILL ASLO INCLUDE A NEW PRODUCT KEY THAT DOES NOT NEAD TO BE CONFIRMD VIA INTERNET TO USE AS IT IS JUST THE BASIC VISTA PROGRAM THAT SHOLD ALOW ME TO INSTAL MY UTILITIS AND DRIVERS TO INSTAL THE MODEMS AND OTHER SYSTEM FILES. WHEN I ORIGANLY GOT THE LAP TOP IN 2007 THE REBOOT &RECOVERY DISKS ONLY HAD THE SET UP PROGRAMS THIS ALOWS YOU TO INSTAL VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM BUT NOT ALL THE PROGRAMS WILL WORK AS YOU NEAD TO DOWNLOAD THE FULL SYSTEM SETINGS.
