Question about KitchenAid (KSRD22FKST) Side by Side Refrigerator
I noticed last night that my KSRJ25N was not cooling. I traced the problem to the thermostat computer, which was resetting every time the fridge door closed. When the fridge door was open, all the lights were working, but the fan that moves cold air into the fridge was clicking. Each time that I tried to adjust the temperature, the compressor would kick on for 1 second, then the LED light for the 'Extend fresh temperature management system' would blink, and all the LEDs would turn off. When they flashed back on, the temperature settings defaulted back to the factory setting 4.
Eventually, I took off the cover piece of the temp selector and disconnected the wiring that runs from the temp selector directly to the top of the fridge. It was a 2-wire harness with yellow and black wires. With that disconnected, the fridge is working completely normally again. Both the fridge & freezer are cold, and the resetting problem has disappeared. The fan is no longer clicking either.
I am having a hard time finding a service manual online for this fridge, and the parts stores do not seem to list what this connector is, nor what it is for. If anyone has any ideas as to what it is, or if there is a considerable hazard running the fridge without these wires connected, please post here.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The column between the doors being warm usually indicates that the compressor is running properly but the condenser fan at the bottom rear that cools the condenser and compressor is not running. Remove the cover from the back of the machine and verify this fan is running. It could have stuck from sitting for a period of time or something has gotten stuck in the blade during the move.
I am interested in what the fan inside the freezer is doing. You say 3-4 second pattern, is it running a few seconds then off a few seconds?
Please post back with the exact model number from the decal inside the fridge and I will look it up and see what I can come up with.

SOURCE: ice maker not working
then you either after doing this have a water to the ice maker problem, or an ice maker issue
go to the water valve and disconnect the small plastic line at the water valve and with a cheater cord connect it to the water valve, naturaly remove the factory connector at the water valve first and plug your cheater cord into the ac if you get water out of the valve the valve is good if you do not the valve is bad
if you get water out of the valve then you have a problem in the ice maker IF the line to the ice maker is clear and no obstructions

SOURCE: fridge not cooling
your defroster seems to be out. This is located in the space between your freezer and fridge where your temp. control is. This defroster can be purchased at an appliance parts supply take model number and serial number with you in order to get the correct part. Once part is obtained follow instructions and unplugg unit before servicingf

Find the return air It can't come in if it can't get out. also if you were checking it with the freezer door open you will not feel the air. Just in case i have done that myself. if all air ducts are open and it's getting o I should be 20 in fresh food with the control on 9.
