I dont understand how to install the sound driver to my laptop.

Completely remove whatever sound drivers you do have installed, restart, download this: http://ftp.dell.com/audio/R302718.exe

Once downloaded install the sound driver I have provided the link for. If it still doesn't work, please post back here with your DELL service tag. This can usually be found on one of the labels on the underside of the laptop. I may be able to help further if you can provide that information.

If the audio drivers are not installed on the laptop then you will not able to hear any audio sounds. If you have the audio drivers CD then go ahead and install them if you dont have the audio drivers then login to your laptop manufacturers website and once when you enter your model number and you operating system then you wil be able to download and install the audio drivers.

install your original sound driver. don't install buetooth. sound driver first, bluetooth causing audio failure.

Hi , If you have lost sound check if u have not put on Mute, If not follow the below steps.
Go To Start + Program+Accessories+System Tools
And Select System Restore .

Restore an earlier Date and it will restart.

This will solve sound issue i suppose.

Well, if you have internet, you can download motherboard drivers from its manufacturer site. Also sound drivers.

hi you may want to try updating your windows media player via the microsoft update website, it should come under optional updates. hope this helps

Hi, reinstall the sound drivers, for sound you need install 2 driver first one is uaa and then sound. if you have the driver well and good reinstall once or can download from the internet. for your help i am sendind you the link of all the drivers of this series.................

Check the device manager and see if the driver is currently installed. Also watch out for a mute button on your laptop. People press it all the time without relizing

i think it will solve this problem. Dont forget to install chipset drivers graphics drivers etc..
