Homedics massager - want to take apart and fix - easy or not?

Hi.
I have a Homedics Professional Percussion Massager with Heat, Model PA-2H that stopped working. It has had a decent lifetime, many years, but I don't like to toss things without at least trying to repair them. However, I am at a loss for this one. Has anyone worked on one of these before? What should I look for when I take apart? Is there anywhere on the web that I can get images/diagrams to help me? Near the end of its working life, so to speak, I could hear something rattling inside, so thinking maybe there's a loose screw or connection.... not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! (P.S. Don't care much about the heat feature, just want it running).
I have a homedics home chair massager, no heating feature, that simply stopped running after many years. No symptoms, no drop off in performance. One day it worked, the next day it did not.

The wiring runs inot a circuit board so unless there is any easy fix to change the transformer (if that is the cause of the problem) then it certainly does not bode well fro a home repair, or any repair at all.

I do not think the wirings for such a device are available onbline, you should call the factory to get a service manual before starting the repair job.

Hi there , I can see tehre are two post in same question.

My previous comment was an answer to the first post.

If the problem is the power unit (transformer) that is easily replaceable, and even if this repair should not be done by the user for safety reasons, it can be done by any local electronic or appliance technician.

The best way to proceed is finding a technician willing to do the repair.
Then you ask the technician to test wiring and board at component level, better replacing a $1 capacitor , rather than the whole power board.
If the technican cannot find the blown component, then you can contact Homedics to order a replacement power board. See links below:

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Sounds like cradle cap, or a adverse side effect of your shampoo. Use Tea Tree shampoo or one with coal tar as a ingredient massage deep. Also you might have your thyroid levels checked if that doent work

I have the CONAIR mini hot rollers in a small black pouch. Do I heat them up in the pouch or take them out of the pouch to heat up? They don't seem to get hot so maybe I should heat them up in

there will be operating instructions as to how to heat up the rollers. If they are not getting hot check the heat setting or return them for a refund or replacement.

You need to get thermometers with humidity display. Get several and put them around the house.
Next I would change the brand of shampoo they use.

Philips salon pro ceramic AC hair dryer electric cable is damaged

I had to disassemble the PHILIPS SalonPro Ceramic HP4890 to fix the damaged power cord. With no previous experices in this models of hairdryers, it was hard to find the way to take out (slide) the main plastic cover. I had to force the front plastic ring to come up and free the main cover; the main covers slides and then the side covers can be separated (triangular recess screws) to access to the interior of hairdryer. I forced the front ring with the tip of a screwdriver so the piece was damage, but not broken, later I came up with the idea of using a nylon thread (or fishing line) to surround the ring and pull to avoid the damage. No doubt that these hairdryers are not made to be disassembled but not impossible. Hope I help.

Throw away the "Intel Motherboard" -- it offers no hope for your self-medication.

Since the "over-the-counter" medications are not working for you, it's time to seek professional help, either a walk-in medical-clinic, or your family doctor, or your HMO.
