Question about 2000RS-M Remote Starters Manual Transmission with Two 5-Butto
I just bought a used 2003 Hyundai Elantra. It came with 3 remotes and no instructions. The dealer had no clue. It was NOT factory installed. I am not sure how the remotes work and why there are three. They don't seem to unlock the doors but they do start car. Should they unlock doors too? I am not sure of the make of the starter, but the remotes are light grey and they say Automate on them. There are four buttons on the remote. Lock, unlock, aux, and panic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Usually the car start system has a "Valet" switch hidden somewhere under the dash or in the glove box. This is used to disarm the system for when the vehicle is serviced. You will have to locate and turn the switch on, some units have a small push button. In either case it is a good dea to locate it for future use.
