the system is set up to do that for example if your not watching or playing a movie or any other outputs the system kind of gets board! Lol its weird but its a good thing because the system keeps itself from staying on after any event such as DVD video1 Video2 Mode
over all its a great thing So No Worries

NHT sa-2 amplifier won't go into standby mode after 10 Minutes of no signal

Does the NHT sa-2 have it's own pre-amp? Because I'm wondering if the power off only works when it's own pre-amp is used? So when your receiver is connected it's shut off.

You could try something connected to it's own pre-amp (if it has one) and see if it goes off when there's no signal from that.

When I am listening to the radio using my sony HTSS 370 it turns off on its own in about 10 minutes. It says "standby" then turns off.

check that the sleep mode is not set. if it is set for 10 mins this will happen use your remote to switch it off.

I hope this was useful.

I have a Samsung HT-z510 home audio and the wireless receiver for the back speakers stays in standby mode. I have set the mode to cinema but it still stays in standby. What can I check next?

Here is how I reset. Key terms to identify: Main unit, remote unit, transmission card, reset button on remote unit. 1. Unplug both units and remove transmission card from rear of Main unit. 2. Wait five minutes. Insert transmission card in rear of Main. 3. Turn on both units. If units do not communicate, there will be a solid red indicator on remote unit...In this case continue with 4. Use remote and turn off main. 5. Point remote at main and enter the following four digits, holding each down for about a second:  0   1   3   5 6. The main unit should turn on. 7. With remote unit on, press and hold down the reset button for 5 seconds.
