If you click on the start button and then select run, you can type in cmd. This will bring up a black window and inside of that you can type chkdsk /f . You will then need to follow the prompts on the screen and it may have you restart. When it does restart it will run a program to check for errors on your hard drive. If it finds errors it will repair them and you skype should be fixed.

If this does not fix Skype please uninstall and reinstall.

Error message that says boot disc error. there is

This is either a corrupt file system or a bad hard drive. You'll need to boot from a Rescue CD like BartPE or a Windows CD and run chkdsk on the drive to see if the file system has just become corrupt. If that fails, you may need to run "fixboot" and "fixmbr" from the recovery console. If those fail, or if chkdsk comes back and says it can't repair the damage, then you probably need a new hard drive.

Your problem is Nortons, This Software is notorious for this, what it is saying is you have a virus in your document folder and will not allow it to open or run. Uninstall Norton and Install a different Anti-Virus and watch your problem disappear. Good Luck. That Norton's is so mean I bet you even have trouble Uninstalling it, It don't like that. Ha Ha.
