It is currently in Schonach, Germany. However, the Amish community in Sugarcreek, Ohio is hoping to have them beat with the cuckoo clock they are currently building there.

My coco clock want stop cocoking

Hello, Leonard -

Clarification: Do you mean a cuckoo clock?

You may not be able to keep the clock from making the cuckoo sound unless you want to stop the clock from running completely.

If the sound can be stopped, there may be a switch to turn it off on the back.

A clock repair expert may be able to stop the cuckoo sound for you, for a price.

Best wishes.

How do I adjust the clock when it's running slow?

If your cuckoo runs too fast or slow, the best way to correct this problem is to set your cuckoo to an accurate watch or clock. After 24 hours, record how many minutes your cuckoo is running too fast or slow. Then adjust the bob up or down the pendulum stick to change the pendulms effective length. You'll need to take an educated guess as to the distance. Reset the cuckoo minute hand time to your watch or clock again. Repeat this process every 24 hours, recording the results, and readjusting the bob until you are within 3 minutes of the correct time. Then, switch from recording every day to recording every week. Use the same process described, recording the time difference, adjusting the bob up or down every week, until the cuckoo is accurate within approximately 3 minutes per week. Remember, mechanical cuckoo clocks are not as accurate as quartz or electric clocks! A three minute error per week is not bad. Maybe you can do better. What you are attempting to do is to obtain is the best timekeeping possible from your cuckoo clock. Afterwards, you will still need to sychronize the cuckoo (coo coo) clock minute hand to an accurate clock or watch, each week or as desired.

How to fix a German Regula cuckoo clock?

As Larry said, you can pull the chain to spin the wheel in both directions. If you are having trouble with one chain being longer, you can even them out this way. I wouldn't suggest removing the weights.

Clock manuals

If you have replaced the two C cell batteries and the mechanism is still not operating, the clock needs to be repaired by a clocksmith If you can't get service from Kaiser. A mechanical weight driven cuckoo clock with proper service will far outlive a battery operated "novelty" clock.

I have a cuckoo clock . Time is 11 and the cuckoo chimes 8 times . What do I do? It's a non mechanical clock

If the clock is chiming like this it means that the hour hand is out. GENTLY loosen the hands, place the hour hand on the hour that the clock has chimed then fasten the hands in place. Gently move the minute hand clockwise Only, and check each hour that it strikes right. If the cuckoo has a button at the back use that instead. For more information email me at [email protected]

Do cuckoo clocks need to be certified to be real?

There is a Black Forest Clock Association. They certify cuckoo clocks that are made from wood and made with parts produced in the Black Forest region and that meet the standards set by the association.

Timing is off bad on the cuckoo part of the clock. It won't stop and runs till the weight hits the ground.

We had the problem with ours when I was a kid. What we did on ours was to turn the hands until the clock cuckoos. Then we removed the hands from the stem and placed them back at the correct time. Hopefully, you can remove the hands from the stem without a problem. Don't force it however. Good luck.
