This is the url you want to visit in-order to update your software for your Nokia N70. I think your device just needs basic software maintenance to start working properly again. Follow the guidelines at the bottom.
Connect your phone to the PC.
Backup your personal data to your memory card or your PC using Nokia PC suite.
Start the Nokia Software Updater and follow the prompts. (Green icon that entitles "Download Nokia Software Update")
after you have installed nokia pc suite in your computer plug the data cable and restart your computer. it should automatically detect. if not switch off and on your phone along with the cable connected. if still not detected the you have bought the wrong data cable
If your phone is asking for a code after resetting it, input your usual pin code.
Don't use Nokia secret codes, you'll create more problems than you solve. Mainly because most people don't know how to use them.
After a reset the data is lost forever. You need to download the latest Nokia PC Suite to do a software update on your phone. It should bring back your menu.
If this is not the answer you expected, please explain precisely the problem(s)
