Put in new ram but only ses 256k?

The new RAM most likely not compatible with the existing RAM.
Use RAM from the same manufacturer and type/speed.
This model Dell uses DDR2 SDRAM memory and can only support up to
4 Gb of RAM

Hello. I have a linksys wireless wireless g access point with SES. I want to add another laptop to this connecction but have lost my wep key password. Pls help!

On the back of the router there's a very small reset button where you stick a paper clip or a small pen tip in.Insert it in there and hold for about 10 secs or until the green led lights starts to flash. Once you do this it will reset the routers password to default, which is: user id: admin, pwd: password.

You may have to reconfigure the other laptop again or recreate the wireless connection.

Its possible that there is an admin policy in your computer not allowing you to do anything. The other option could be that there is a virus in your computer.

Do you have an anti virus program to scan for viruses?

Is your user id set for admin privileges?

If windows see the DVD drive that means the hardware inside the drive is working, but if it can't read any disk the laser is likely dead. They only last 2,000 hours. Or about 4 years of regular use.

Hi i have a p5s800-vm mother board when i power up it comes up with the log and pick tab or del then the screen goes blank and windows does not start need help

So you get past the BIOS screen then your screen goes blank?

Can you press F8 just before Windows would load to see if the Windows boot menu comes up.

I would also check to see that you have no devices plugged into the USB ports. Printers/mice/keyboards are okay, but not USB drives, memory sticks. Some computers want to try to boot off of these devices and it can cause unexpected hangs or simply no booting at all.
