    gopi20,

Changing the cables did'nt work. The cables are hooked up right. What else could it be?

  • leatherneck0 Feb 08, 2009

It's not the wiring. What else.

  • leatherneck0 Feb 08, 2009

I've tried it with nothing but the BDPlayer plugged in. Still have the same problem.

  • leatherneck0 Feb 08, 2009

My TV is a JVC IArt. It does not have "Twin Picture" capability.

  • leatherneck0 Feb 08, 2009

Reset the TV. That didn't work.

The TV does not have picture in picture settings, or twin picture settings, but the blue ray has zoom and pip capabilities.

Just unplug the blue ray from power for ten minutes to reset its settings.

If after reset you still get the problem , then there is an internal fault, in that case contact Sony.

I think "Twin Picture" function is activated in TV because twin picture is able to present such effect.
Please check TV Menu and disable twin picture.
I do not see any problem with Samsung BD-P1500 blu ray player.
Thanks.

Please hook blu ray with another TV just to confirm that player has problem. Upon confirmation, change blu ray menu for video out format as it seems some kind of sync delay.

Hi, This sometimes happens when you have more than one video source. If you have component cables plugged in make sure you do not have an svideo or hdmi or other video source plugged into the same input. Good Luck!

Hi, Lets try something else. If you have the player remote connected , disconnect it and only have the direct video source connected. We will keep trying but as you know long distance troubleshooting is tough. Good luck!

Ghosting problems with a Samsung-LN32B360

I think your cable box is old version together with weak signal caused this problem. I guess you are using coaxial cable hooked up to the TV at TV cable input jack.
At the TV there are some better quality inputs which are real digital transmission (audio and video) HDMI and components (digital video and analog audio).
The most simple and best quality is HDMI provided the box has HDMI output.
Secondly is component inputs. There are 5 cable trends in which 3 of them (red, blue, green) for video and the rest 2 are for audio (red , white). The cable box should have same color accordingly as ouput. Please note that the color must be matched otherwise you will see the screen has one color only.
Playing a DVD player to see picture good or not. If picture is good, TV has no problem at all.

Samsung hlp4667 only get a picture with HD input.

is there anything else hooked up to your tv other than cable or satellite? if no other components (dvd, vhs, etc) then you will get a snowy screen because the other inputs are for other components that are hooked up. a picture is showing on the HD input because you have cables hooked into that input.

Split screen

It appears that it has something to do with Progressive Scan been turned on. Progressive Scan is a feature built in your dvd player, wich by using it, it would give you a better picture//resolution on your tv, you need to use Component or HDMI cables to hook up the dvd to your tv if you want this settings, but if you are using composite RCA cables (Red,White & Yellow) and the Progressive funtion is turned on by accident, it may give you a split screen, black & white, or no picture problems. Also if you are using Component (Blue, Green & Red) cables, if one of them is unplug, the picture can be out of colors, or no picture. Check this things, if not, write back with more details about your set up.

Hi, I just purchased a Samsung series 3 330 model#LN40A330 I'am having problems with the AV inputs on back of television. I hooked up a DVD player to Component 1 it works fine Then I hooked up Nintendo...

I figured it out,
The solution to my problem was to update my video cables for my new HDTV.
I found out through trial and error that I can only have one Anolog device hooked up to the TV because with two Anolog devices hooked up the same way it must confuse the TV somehow making one of the inputs showing up in Black and White, So I purchased the color coded AV jacks and everthing works like a charm now.

Black borders

Check the resolution settings on your cable box, you may have to call your cable provider to find out how to get into the settings menu, there is a stretch function in the settings that should make all the lower channels auto fit your screen, also see if there's a p=size button on your remote control, try pushing that when on the channels that have sidebars.
