I haven't got the solution for some reason. The answer to the solution I did receive is: yes, I have a webpage I want to put there, but I don't remember url/password for new site because I was so upset with the process involved in the purchase. Thanks.

Hi

you have purchased a site, but there is no content on the website, you have not put any pages there. You need to have index.html page in the server to get rid of this error. right now there is noting so its opening the directory listing but as that is restricted we all get a error 403.

do you have a webpage you want to put there?

Hi, I am now using the Lenovo S100 netbook. Since I prefre using Windows XP, so I downgraded the OS from Windows 7 Starter to Windows XP in my pc. However, I cannot reinstall the driver for the Wireless...

@siuchiwing

If you installed the wifi driver here or at consumersupport.lenovo.com then you have the right driver. The Access Denied prompt that you're getting though seems strange because most of the time, Access Denied error only comes up if you don't have access to a certain program, file, or directory and I'm assuming you have administrative priviledges. Try the following:

1. Unhide the built-in Administrator account (guide here) and log-in to it and see if you're still getting the same error. If you don't, you have a corrupted profile and you need to create another one.
2. Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking (press F8 upon boot-up) and check if you're still getting the error. If you don't, try to disable startup items (guide here).

If you still do get the error, you might wanna consider doing a re-installation of your Windows XP.

Good luck.

Cannot access a site although have put in browser, to acitvate it, have been having error page 403, gone into browser but still will not allow access to stite requested.

HTTP Error 403 is an error message which means that you are not authorized to view the web page which you are attempting to load. Usually, the HTTP error 403 - Forbidden means that access to the file/folder you are trying to open has been denied, either on intention or owing to a configuration anomaly. You could attempt using a proxy website if the access is blocked intentionally.

Files and directory listings on a Web Server

Without knowing what software you are using its hard to give specifics but it sounds like you need to change the permissions on the folder. You may have the "read" attribute set but not the "list" attribute, you can open the file if you know its name but not list the contents of the directory. Unfortunatley these permissions must be set from the server side.

How to unlock a http error 403

Hi, HTTP Error 403 is an error message which means that you are not authorized to view the web page which you are attempting to load.
The 403 error is also known as "Forbidden". The 403 Forbidden error is most often seen when you are attempting to browse to a directory which has directory browsing permissions turned off. The actual error message you receive will depend upon your web browser. For example, Internet Explorer says "You are not authorized to view this page."
Follow these steps if you get this error:- 1.Make sure the URL is entered correctly 2.Try the URL with a different file extension (.html, .htm, .shtml, .php) 3.Go to the main page of the site and look for a search function 4.Go to Google and search for a similar page

Http 403

You first need to confirm if you have encountered a "No directory browsing" problem. You can see this if the URL ends in a slash '/' rather than the name of a specific Web page (e.g. .htm or .html). If this is your problem, then you have no option but to access individual Web pages for that Web site directly.

apparently you don`t have the credentials ( rights, password, etc) to enter that sight.

Try adding that site to your trusted sites
